Finished: Minor/Repaint: - [WIP] BotCon 2024 TFA Number-2 "They called me Number-2. Is that a name?" "Well...uh...it's something...don't be crude." I am very new at customizing and this probably isn't going to look the best, but I'm trying. Bear with me. Tips are appreciated as I go along.

Update. I'm working on it very slowly. The workspace for it is a fold-out table next to my desk with a bowl, brushes, and paint. That way, I can remind myself to work on it for like 2 minutes every hour I'm available or so. I got plenty of free time. Needs a few more coats of purple paint in a cycle of drying and coating, but then I should get to adding the orange.
Another update. A few layers later and the purple paint coats are looking quite good. Will let it dry for a few hours before it's time for the orange. This custom, unfortunately, probably isn't going to transform. I can't coat it. However, that's not a big deal as Number-2 doesn't ever transform during the script reading and I mainly focus on robot modes anyway.
First coat of Orange paint. I'll wait for it to dry and then add more. It's a bit of a mess, but it can be fixed.
Two coats of the main body later... After the rest is coated well, I'll add orange to one of the legs. And after everything has been painted purple and orange, I'll then put the body back together and add the black and green accents. And do a blackwash.
Been meaning to ask, what's the backstory on this character? I've tried looking online but can't find anything.
She's a clone of Elita-1, commanded to be created by Sentinel in an attempt to bring Elita-1 back. She unfortunately went through a similar case as Toxitron, a clone of Optimus that went wrong. Perceptor attempted to make her without the tainted energy of Blackarachnia and prevent the errors that made Toxitron, to no avail. Then Number-2 was assigned as a janitor by Sentinel. On a vaguely related note, she called him a "mansplainer", which is absolutely peak. This is a non-canon script reading, the lore doesn't make too much sense. You can read it here, mirrored by me. So just read the script, interesting read. I won't spoil anything for those who want to read it themselves, but I do hope they decide to use Number-2 again in the future. Also between reading that, this custom, and the fact that I own Toxitron from that Walmart line they had, I think I might try making Number-2 too. I'll just need to figure out a base, maybe Authentics Arcee.
That sounds really fun and fitting! G'luck on that. Just put her back together. I'll then add the black/green accents in a few hours or so with a thin brush. I'd say it's not bad for my first disassembly custom. Followed some advice from a fellow customizer for this, such as thinning paints with water.
Another pic of her. Misc fact that the "orangewash" effect on the face was done by accident, but I think it was a happy one. It really makes her look different.
