I'm really diggin' your Bruticus and Combaticons so far, bro! You've done a great job on them and while I do think Bruticus has a slightly large head, it seems to fit well--especially with the Unicron arms. They help add some bulk and now he just looks brutish and powerful.

Can't wait to see more on this--keep up the great work, man!

Unicron's arms all the way! And work the spikes in too. I like the head, super bonus points for scratch building it and it also looks like a Trojan warrior's helmet! :thumbs2:

I agree--you always get brownie points for scratchbuilding and that head does look great. You can tell that you put some hard work into it and it certainly shows. I'm sure it will look even better painted up.

I'm digging it. I have a couple general concerns though, not really directed at your Bruticus but in general.

Is Unicron like a prerequisite for making combiners? How many should you have on hand and where are you all getting them on clearance at? That has to be expensive.

Also, I really like the Onslaught mold but how is he really working out in regards for making these combiners? I was looking at a way to sneak Dropshot in and I was thinking about trying a Bruticus but with dropshot or Cybertron Mudflap as Onslaught.

Not at all. I've used Primus on my last 2 and I think that the Darth Vador one can be used for combiners as well. It's just that for some reason, a bunch of people bought unicron when he came out, broke him in one way or another, and then sell them on e-bay. Find one and put a $10 bid on him. You get him, great! You don't, the'll be another around the corner.

Onslaught kicks butt with this mold once I removed the legs. Otherwise, I was considering someone else because I couldn't get him to stay put. Also, the way Onslaught's arms move, it gives Bruticus' arms full articulation because vortex and blastoff conect directly to the arms.

    this is coming along awesomely!
It kinda has a TFA feel while in gestalt mode.
If you'd want to get away from that, swap in the primus arms like recommended above, and although it would suck - shrink the head somehow. this is looking solid.

Hmm...i like his robot mode, its just fitting but actually working him into the combiner mode is what gave me second thoughts. Thanks for the tips.

Hey Moe! It's amazing what you've done so far. ABout the head, I've got a small option that may/may not interest you. You might want to try and do some dark shading on the outer dimensions of the head to give it an illusion of it being smaller than it really is. I mean, black hides some curves as it is. hehehe!

That sounds like it would work. Well at least a hell of a lot faster than remaking another head. I was thinking about painting the whole guy flat black and then drybrushing their G1 Color schemes on them...sort of like covert Ops Bruticus. What other paint ideas does everyone like?

That is really awesome! I've got two questions:
    1) Can we get a shot from the back?
    2) If Brawl's cannon tip is removable, why don't you remove it in combined mode so that the turret can point straight up?

I like the combined mode a lot, except for the head, you might want to re-visit that.

The individuals are nice, especially swindle. Brawl looks a little out of place because of the different style of the movie. The difference doesn't show up as much for vortex.
