Maybe the new Optimus coming out is elite guard prime because the wing part of the name could be talking about the wings on the Elite Guard Symbol
I think that's it, Tash. My other theory is that Optimus has a "final" form in Endgame part two where he combines with his trailer or something. It'd finally give them a reason to make an Optimus with his real trailer.
It could be a new figure, Bulkhead and Prowl have had upgrades, Bumblebee's is still planned for release so Prime could well be getting similar treatment. Perhaps a reuse of the voyager mould with a new backpack.
I could see him being a straight repaint, but I can also see it having a new trailer attachment. Hasbro did mention they were planning something of the sort. Not sure if they're still going to do it though. Would be interesting to see the Voyager Prime mold get a jet pack, or at the very least have something that looks like his full firetruck trailer. We'll just have to wait and see what it is. Hopefully they'll have him, and the other figures we haven't seen yet, at Botcon.
I expect a repaint, but of course would love to see the PM treatment to a voyager prime that brought him to the size of UM with the armor on.
Well, since we know that Spoiler Optimus uses another weapon other than his axe to fight Megatron , then maybe it comes with that? I'm hoping it comes with his trailer as well as the Spoiler new weapon .
When did we here about that? Could be my bad memory striking again, but I honestly don't remember hearing anything along those lines. Sounds cool, and like a good idea though.
I have a feeling that what ever form Wingblade prime will be Optimus will achieve that form be either being powered up by Magnus' Hammer or Sari or a combination of the 2 and personally i hope for a new mold
I'm a few episodes behind in Animated. They're all on the DVR, though. Does Optimus ever upgrade to the Ginormous Axe of Doom in the show? Seeing as how he gets his skidplates handed to him every time he goes up against Megatron I was waiting for him to get something that evened the odds. At first I liked it that Megatron was so powerful. It made Optimus seem more of a hero because he was willingly facing a more powerful foe. You know, he was putting himself in peril for others -the very definition of a hero. But now I am completely sick of Megatron throwing Optimus like it's not even difficult. When Megatron was inside Omega Supreme damaged and without weapons and Optimus came across Megatron by surprise I was certain that this would be the time that Optimus got the upper hand. But no, Megatron still walked right through him. The plot device has been exhausted. It's like Justice League Season 1 where the creators tried to show how powerful the villains were by having them immediately take out Superman. They just made a Superwimp. (In fact, Bruce Timm took complete credit for that situation.)
