If I'm right and the knights and 13 are one and the same, I guess The Lost Lights mission would be a great way to introduce the colony worlds. But it has me thinking about the title of this event, "Combiner Wars". Right now there are only a handful of combiners, but what happens if/when they find the colony world founded by Nexus Prime?

 

That would be a pretty interesting twist and it would explain why Alpha Bravo looks so much like Vortex design wise.

I don't see why it's such a crime to have some elements of the Aligned universe be in IDW since some of the non good stuff about it can be improved in IDW as well as new take on some concepts. Like I said it's not like IDW decided to retcon the Aligned universe with the comics.

 

Transformers is ever evolving it takes from every continuity to strengthen the whole. Its one of the things that makes the franchise unique.

 

I personally love the IDW universe but don't mind them borrowing some of the better elements of Aligned if they want, as long as it isn't forced on them. There being others after the Guiding Hand isn't a new thing, it was introduced right along with them in the MTMTE Annual. I am left wondering though, who would be the 13th Prime in IDW, surely it can't be Optimus this time around...

I'll need to re-read RID, but I don't know if we can expect a world founded by Nexus. While, if I remember right, a few Primes escaped the first civil war, Nexus is confirmed killed on Cybertron and his Enigma of Combination lost in space. I could see some of his tribesmen - headmasters, powetmasters, maybe a few large-scale combiners - starting a planet of their own, but without the Enigma, I think the combiners would be few in number compared to the other singular cybertronian descendants inhabitting that world.

I've been saying the Knights were the 13 ever since I started reading MTMTE, so for about 2 years. Only now do people seem to question if they are.

 

If the Knights were the 13, then where would the Matrix map lead to? All 13 colonies? And where did Skids go in This Calamitous Life (#21)?

 

Id rather it be the primes then complete OCs we've never heard of honestly.

Oh how I loved this issue, the story felt top notch and just plain fun and that Sarah Stone art is like a feast for the eyes. I could sup on that art a lifetime and still not be sated. While I'm not a fan of aligned I don't mind it in IDW. I feel like there are a couple of different creation myths running around, and I love that provided none of them pan out to be true.

 

Ooh, I like that idea. I was thinking first Citybot, but this works even nicer.

There are parts of Aligned I like better than others (where there are discrepancies between the Exodus and Exiles novels and the games/cartoon I prefer the game cartoon. I also don't like Optimus being one of the Thirteen, but the others are mostly good). What I don't understand is why people think it's so bad, when it's basically every G1 continuity other than IDW's: Primus, Unicron, and Thirteen Primes. And Roberts rather cheekily implied that those who believed in the Guiding Hand also spoke of Unicron.

But personally I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on IDW Quintessons.

Offroad into Swindle
Air Raid/Skydive into Blast off (For scale purposes ofcourse)
Brawl could be a new mold and some legends class will form bruticus chest plate

 

Love, LOVE LOVE the art. Absolutely my favorite artist for IDW TF, and I feel like she gets better. Sure she's a bit sketchy at times, like someone mentioned, but I'm sorta into that. I just thought the whole Superion/Menasor fight was beautiful. She emotes so well, I just love her.

I'm not 100% but if that was the case, wouldn't the rest of the Ariel-bots know? Since their minds are linked. Like how the Constructicon's have mentioned how much they enjoyed being in Prowls mind. I feel like if Alpha Bravo, was a double agent, he wouldn't be able to hide the fact when they were a hive mind

i've actually thinking that aside from the hotspot to onslaught and possibly AB to vortex the rest might be new so we dont get wave one mold fatigue. besides we need new molds for computron and since we aren't sure what direction they're going with scattorshot yet i'd think they'd double dip deluxe members that way instead of milking this current crop.

nosecone/brawl as a shared mold and/or heavy retool
strafe/blast off as a shared mold and/or heavy retool
lightspeed and afterburner are too unique to be made from anything out there so new molds there? maybe?
and i think either a new member for the other limb and swindle as legends scale jeep/chest armor like groove is or swindle as limb and new member as chest armor.

remember this toyline is going on two years. i doubt even hasbro is going two years on just eight new deluxes and three deluxe retools over and over again.
