I collect Star Wars figures in the box. The Transformers are for my 8 yr old son to play with, and partially for nostalgia.

yeah, I probably wouldn't want these anyways, but the overly Sunbow look just kills them for me (just like modern Masterpiece figures)

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of rooting them in the Sunbow character models, but giving them a CHUG level veneer of sculpted detail (that's essentially what the Earthrise seekers are in robot mode) and a photo real paint job but characters that look like 30 year old low budget animation are really not interesting to me. Basically, make them look like Studio Ox concept drawings, not animation cells.

Just Megatron right now, since Hasbro can't seem to get his Earth mode right. Something about forcing a tank mode onto a robot whose gun alt mode should be a hand gun seems to elude even the greatest of HasTak engineers.

He hasn't been a gun since Classics, and even then he was a Nerf gun. Otherwise, he's been a tank, forever. He's been a tank longer than he ever was a gun, and no retailer will want to touch it if it turns into a gun. We all know what the deal is, no amount of complaining about it will fix it. Before you mention Takara-Tomy, those are Japanese productions that are imported by US etailers and not brick and mortar, plus they're modified with the orange cap (in a lot, but not all) cases so as to appease the powers that be.

Tank or nothing, these days. We get what we get and it could be a whole lot worse.

I never thought I'd be interested in non-transforming bots. However, if this line is as fun to fiddle with as the Black Series and Marvel Legends, I'm pretty sure I'm in for some of the heavy hitters. If they include BAF pieces for the Combiners, I'm going to have some serious soul searching to do.

Potentially only Megatron for a deskbot.

I bought Newages Megatron for the same reason, but it was such a great figure, that lead me into the legends game, and in all honesty I dont want it to potentially suffer damage.

So if these come to my corner of the world and the price is logical...Ill get a Megs, but that it.

I'm not asking him to actually be a gun. I'm asking HasTak to eventually figure out how to make his robot mode look like the G1 robot with a gun mode without a tank mode. They did a pretty good job in Cyberverse. Even the shampoo bottle evergreen figure does a good job of hiding his tank mode. Until they figure it out in CHUG, I guess this will have to do.

I'll buy the characters I want if they look nice. Tho I kinda wanna see them go a bit further: package them in primo sets with a non transforming representation of their alt mode. It'll make them cost upwards of $30, but I'd be into it for the characters I like.

I’ll buy TFP Arcee and Cheetor and whatever other non-G1 characters they do. I’m really hoping they’ll do some Animated characters.

Action Masters made sense back in 1990 when it was practical to design figures to transform or have articulation but not both. But since super-articulated and transformable is the standard these days, these make no sense at all. I might get one or two as a novelty, but that's about it.

So I said yes, a select few, but also no, because distribution is going to be crap as usual.

Not for me. I just don’t have any interest in non-Transforming Transformers.

I just wish they wouldn't be another damn Walmart exclusive. That severely limits my acquisition percentages around here.

Right now I'm planning on getting Megatron. I think the toy looks good. After that I'll wait and see what the line has to offer.

I put maybe. I don't want to start collecting another series, and I can use "they don't transform" as a justification... but I think I've already talked myself into getting a few to see how they feel in person.

Initially I thought of the Robot Replicas from Transformers 2007 when I saw the previews. I prefer my Transformers to transform, but might grab a figure or two otherwise I’ll pass on the line.
