Heh, well yes but it's enforced positivity though so...you know, not a place where discussing anything deamed 'negative' or 'critical' will be tolerated. It's a 'gush thread' and as such a pretty hostile environment for anyone to explain why they won't be buying the figure, which is half of what the Op is asking.

I don't think TT will do it, not for a good long while anyway and when they do it will no doubt sport a different deco. My hope is Hasbro (or even a KO company if that's the way it goes) put it out with the basics you describe. I'd probably buy that if it's around the £100 mark.

This, i liked the realistic paint jobs and detail much better. I just hope Takara can complete the Diaclone bots without going full toon

I sold my MP-10 this minute the pictures surfaced so I guess I'm committed now LOL. I've had time to save though. I just pray for no QC issues.

I mostly collect CHUG, so I'm generally happy with my Orion and Striker Manus, but I did buy MP-01 years ago and have always toyed with the idea of owning another one. It definitely won't be this one because of price.

If I did collect MP I would imagine, though, that the combination of MP-10 with any number of trailers and third party accessories would have me off this years ago.

    Too right I will.

It's perfect. Collectors have been paying this price for the non transforming licensed figures with this level of accuracy and posability so actually it seems like a bargain.

Masterpiece is becoming the PRS Guitars of the TF world.

I reckon real pricing will be circa £300.

Would've been more interesting if this poll had been addressed to Masterpiece collectors.

Its not the price range. I just dont like what I see.

I think the 'starscream' gimmick to be a pointless rip off from XTBS swarm version, I have no use for the blast effects/accessories, the 'moving' part of the drone trailer is again something that doesnt interest me.

All in all my thoughts are: Bad aesthetics, pointless accessories. Hard pass.

EDIT: I am reserving judgment for a possible Nemesis repaint, but I dont think ill bite either.

Nah, not worth the insane price to me. Maybe if it comes down to $250 and I'm back into collecting MPs by then.

No, sir. I am more than happy with my TRU MP-10 that I got brand new for under $80. My appreciation of the MP line has already begun to wane since they started going toon accurate. I think Megatron looks awesome, and I'm glad to finally have him, but he is a bitch to transform. And Sunstreaker looks cool, but is also an unpleasant experience and, IMO, doesn't pair as well with Sideswipe as he should. G1 is not my favorite part of the franchise, so I think now is a good time to stop. I'll focus on the Beast Wars and Movie MPs instead, since that's where my heart lies.

A part of me wants to buy it since it's gonna be a fantastic figure and I actually have the money.
The other part doesn't want to send Takara the message that it's fine to charge this kind of money.

I'm skipping MP44. While I could swing him, I cannot justify paying almost $500 for him. That's 2 car payments or 2 months of groceries for my household.
    I'm perfectly happy with MP10.

I can’t afford it. If I could I would but MP -10 is satisfying enough for me.

I'll buy the cheaper and better KO with all fixes and some extras... about 1 1/2 year from now.

Ι am critically judgemental of TTs work on the post mp36 era, and I think that their QC is shitting downhill rapidly, I think their figures are over-engineered, where they reach a point that ruins their aesthetic, but that over-engineering is KO-proof. Yeah there will be a KO, but if they dont rip the Cads as they did with mp36, it will most likely be a Sunstraker type of KO, IMHO.

    Then again you never know....
