Companies regularly advertise ahead of other companies films, this is business and if they're willing to pay to have their ad with your movie whats stopping you. Even with big franchises like transformers.

Doesn't matter who owns what property. It's incredibly common to advertise your big movie with other studios movies. Happens all the time. It gets very annoying when people don't understand that whatever studio the movie is coming from has absolutely NOTHING to do with the choice of movie or studios the trailer is attached to.

 

I know that very well. The world of advertising isn't new to me at all. I'm not saying that it was never possible that a trailer would go with Sucker Punch. I'll be honest, I was actually expecting to see it online when I got home. But I'm saying that nobody should be suprised that it hasn't. There could be a number of reasons why there is no trailer.

 

None of which include what movies came from what studios the way you suggested.

 

I think someone was yanking your chain, don't see how a new trailer would have made it all the way to movie release day without hitting the net first.

This can't possibly be true. Chicks in prison, dragons, robots, explosions, horrible fake accents; how could all of that be shit? So long as they actually have everything that was in the trailer in the movie, it will at least rank as awesome. If they manage to shoe-horn an actual plot in there, it could be the best movie of all time.

Here's what I'm trying to say, because I think that I worded it wrong in my first post. I didn't really get at what I'm trying to say.
With Sucker Punch, not as many people are going to see this. I'm betting it will make as much as Watchmen in the end. You're right, it has nothing to do with the fact that Warner Bros. owns it. But Paramount would logically want to go with a movie that they know a lot of other people are going to see. Thus, I think Fast Five makes a lot more sense.
Also, Fast Five comes out in April. Nelson said that the trailer will be released in April. I don't believe Nelson all the time, but I'm starting to believe that he was right about the trailer.

While I don't agree with all of that (I hope Sucker Punch does very good numbers). Saying that to begin with would have avoided a few extra posts, because it's COMPLETELY different from what you said at first.

 

Saw sucker punch WED 03/23 at an advanced screening in Seattle. The only previews were for Arthur and Hangover 2.

You know, as terrible as Sucker Punch is, a DOTM trailer might be the only way to get people to go after the reviews come out.

 

I don't know. My cousin saw it today in New Jersey and she said there was a "new" TF trailer. However - someone on my facebook fan page also saw it and said there was NOT a TF trailer. so, I am not 100% WTH is going on with this. Perhaps some theaters show different trailers?

 

Is there a chance that your cousin saw the announcement trailer, hadn't seen or heard of it before, and assumed that it was the new one?

 

I saw Sucker Punch today on Imax. I saw all of the previews, and a Transformers Dark of the Moon trailer was not shown. This was at an AMC movie theater.

 

Why dotn you tell her what Was Shown in the Trailer, If it was the One that Have the apollo 11 and Sentinel prime then its the Odl trailer, if she saw something with scene we never heard before then its new
