I was just trying to make the thread more enjoyable for everyone.
Oh thats takes up 2020 too then
Nah, he said he's tired of people.
After this movie obliterates the box office and our collective minds he'll be the new face of the Franchise.
It is way too early to say because we don't know what Travis Knight wants to do next. Perhaps he would be happy to come back for another chance to craft another Transformers story or there might be other projects he wants to take on that successful live action movie would open up for him. We know Paramount will want to push a large pile of money his way if Bumblebee dominates the box office but after Bay got stuck on the Transformers series we don't know if other directors will want to risk getting trapped in the series.
I hope Paramount goes with changing up directors from time to time. If Bumblebee is anything like his Kubo and the Two Strings I'd love to see Travis Knight get another shot at Transformers but I wouldn't want to see every Transformers movie directed by Travis Knight.
I think Travis Knight's next TF movie will be the story of Orion Pax. I would really like to see him finish the Bayverse giving us the continuation of TLK, mainly the UNICRON story arc.
TLK continuation is not necessary, because the story is become too messy already..I prefer the sequel of Bumblebee would describe how Optimus Prime, Wheeljack etc arrived to join battle with Bumblebee on earth, in the same time Decepticons lead by Starcream/Shockwave are bringing Combaticons to search for Optimus because of Matrix...Each of the Combaticons got their own personality and special weapon system..will only combine to form Bruticus when they can't defeat Autobots..Hopefully they can introduce Ultra Magnus and real Jetfire (not the lousy old jet) for the sequel.
Agreed it should be the story of Orion but the part I disagree with is continuing the story, there’s no point to finish it
Don’t they usually take a year before filming to plan everything out though like the designs?
Yea thats why I said 2019 is going to took up doing that and 2020 will be took up doing the animation process
I imagine that it will depend on how well he does with Bumblebee
Industry rumors say that Travis Knight is being considered for the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. But may not get the job as he is not high on the list but you'll never know.
FYI: He got shortlisted to direct Marvel's Eternals. So, we do know for sure that Marvel/Disney is seriously considering him.
Sadly, a sequel for TLK is off the discussion table at the moment at Paramount. You guys won't get one at least until 2022 but even after that, it's not a possibility.
That would be a high honor, but I actually kind of hope he sticks with Transformers. As spectacular as Bumblebee looks, I'd love to see what he could do with a budget the size of the main films. Directors who grew up as Transformers fans seem to be in short supply in Hollywood. A lot of them probably feel like it's kind of a lowbrow subject matter. I would love for Travis to get a series of ensemble movies.
Any chance you know if any other Transformers films (which ones are they) are in the works? Or they waiting to find out if Bumblebee is a success?
If it does succeed what do you think we will get next and when? (Seen previous post of yours you seem to know what your talking about)
I giggled too.
Become a mod and lock it. That’ll make all our days!
Well, quite a lot of discussions are going on. I don't know how they'll pan out. Bumblebee 2 and Optimus Prime seems to be the next thing at the moment. Box-office numbers may alter any decisions.
Do you have any idea or info when will any of these happen ? Only after 2022 ?
