Will there ever be comic-based Haslabs?

    I can't help but make a mental wish list for certain comic-based Haslabs:

    1- I've always been a bit obsessed with where Perfect Effect Warden went wrong. I love the idea of a core figure that turns into an alternate Fort Max head who then armors up into IDW Fort Max. It would be really cool to get a Haslab that is a new alternate Cerebros with an armor-up set that also turns into a battle station and tank. Extra points if the tank treads can come off and augment Cog in some way.

    2- the rest of the DJD probably won't be made in scale with Legacy Tarn, but they would make a pretty great Haslab set. Not sure about this one as there's already two third party DJDs available, but there was a slew of 3P Star Sabers that didn't seem to cause them any hesitation.

    3- Thunderwing as an Ultra Pretender would be killer. Maybe a Siege Jetfire-sized figure that can add an extra set of armor-up wings to get all Stormbringer-style beefy.

    I'm really down for a storm bringer style Thunderwing and especially like you said with warden.

    I'd be all in for a Stormbring style Thunderwing as well!

    Hopefully, I don't see why they wouldn't at this point.

    Hasbro has too many Optimus Prime options that would sell better than the niche stuff we want.

    I'd love to see Ultra Pretenders done in Haslab.

    Or that combiner that Circuit Breaker piloted in the Marvel comic.

    I sincerely hope not, not because there aren't comic characters I want to see but because I think Haslabs are ridiculous and set an unrealistic division between haves and have nots. A 600 dollar (!) Unicron is one thing; a sorta upgrade from a 30 dollar toy from 23 years ago is quite another.

    Yes, I realize I'm on an island on this and yes, I realize the horse has already left the barn

    I would love a proper Marvel Powermaster Prime. Like, 100% comic accurate. I would gladly pay 200-250 if they could pull it off.

    Two pack od leader sized Fort Max and Scorponok.

    Last Autobot.

    I hear you. I actually like my $60 Omega Prime from 23 years ago better.... I don't need a taller version, it's enormous as it is.

    I was happy to get updates to Victory Saber and Deathsaurus, I never had those G1 figures.

    I'd want Haslab to do more niche stuff, things that would be a harder sell at regular retail.

    That's what I'm pretending the Ark is. It was clearly inspired by the Last Autobot.

    Think it might be possible that some people have the same experience re: Omega Prime that you do with Victory Saber/Deathsaurus, tbh.

    Pulling the thread back to topic, I would *love* to see a number of comic related pieces although size wise they’d have to be in sets, and I can’t imagine many of these pieces would sell enough to get backing…but I can dream!…

    * Comic accurate Marvel Straxus
    * IDW Thunderwing
    * Marvel Last Autobot
    * Marvel Hook, Line, and Sinker
    * IDW “Batmobile” Alpha Trion
    * IDW MTMTE Nautica
    * IDW MTMTE Riptide
    * IDW MTMTE Dominus Ambus
    * IDW MTMTE Tyrest
    * IDW MTMTE Pharma
    * IDW Senator Shockwave
    * IDW RID Turmoil

    I feel like the closest we'd get to a comic Haslab is a design that's shown up in multiple places, or maybe as alt parts to a design like PM Optimus / Ginrai combo figure.

    I feel like most comic-exclusive characters are small/simple enough to go mainline (regardless of obscurity) or they have a version of them that's more mainline friendly.
