I can't be the only one that isn't happy with MP-10 right? His squat rectangular chest windows, short bowlegs and wide torso just doesn't look right. The proportions on MP-1 looked alot more G1 cartoon than MP-10. How likely do you think Takara will come out with an V3?

How? They haven't messed with any of his designs. They aren't "destroying" what he worked on. It's still following the same aesthetics that he started with MP-10, which is cartoon accuracy and scale.

And considering they're reissuing MP-10 for a THIRD TIME, I doubt they'll make another.

 

Shockwave, Megatron etc aren't the same aesthetic as mp-10 complety different aesthetics.
I just prefer the cartoon/toy look over the cartoon only look

 

There kinda needs to be a cartoon accurate one eventually. I'd be ok with an anime colored version of the same MP-10 mold personally.

 

Possibly, if we don't get an MP-10+, a new Prime might end up being MP-50 or something. I think most of us would be happy to have MP-10 as the definitive Masterpiece Optimus Prime, though. Just release a + version who would match better with MP-36 and that'd satisfy most tastes.

 

Im guessing there will be a + version first then they'll make a V3 down the rode.

I would also like an animated v3 prime but i hope they release 2 versions one with trailer and another on without it a trailer right now the prices are too high for me to pay for a full trailer version so being honest if the 3 version is released without it at the same price as masterpiece shockwave i would be happy

Well once the mold degrades beyond further usage, they might make another Convoy if they don't just repair the mold or make a new mold of the older version (as in make a new mold exactly the same as MP-10)

 

...An animated version of MP-10 is just the American/Hasbro release.

It's Optimus Prime - he's always going to get re-made. The fact that the MP line is moving into a more cartoon-accurate direction only makes this more likely. Might not happen for a little while, but eventually, it's bound to.

 

I hope there is a MP-10+ version for those who like the new aesthetic but I don't think a new mold is necessary. If they did they would need to remake Ultra Magnus as well to align with the new cab design

 

I'm happy with my MP10. My whole collection is forming based on the design of him.Once I have seasons 1, 2 and the movie, then I'm done. From there I may get random G1 stuff but that'll be about it.
That's whan I plan on focusing on building Macross and Gundam models.

 

I rather not see one, there's so many other characters without a MP figure that they could do instead.

 

Man, MP-10 is a classic. I would hope they finish other stuff before that make a V3, or else MMC, Fanstoys, Maketoys or KFC will continue to take my money. I'm looking at you Cliffjumper, Arcee and Elita-1.

 

MP-10 is still pretty darn good and consistent with the current lineup. If anything, I'm surprised they haven't reissued the figure more often in different flavors, like Magnus, Diaclone, cartoon deco, etc.

 

They'll be one because he's prime as to when we get him? If the movie anniversary is in 2019 sometime between then and now battle damage and all.
