In the preceding two seasons of Prime, the presence of the Autobots and Decepticons and their ongoing conflict, was largely kept a secret from the human population of Earth. The Autobots had their base in an out-of-the-way location and remained as inconspicuous as possible when going out among humans. Meanwhile, the Decepticons were content to fly around in their ship, most of them had Earth alternate modes and they didn't cause much trouble near human settlements. Any slip-ups and/or sightings were cleared up by the combined efforts of Agent Fowler, Raf and Silas (in the case of MECH).

Now, going into Season 3, we have
    a massive Decepticon fortress
located on Earth. Yes, it's in an area far from major population centers, but it's still a huge structure and should be noticed rather quickly...especially if anyone decides to investigate the preceding energy blast or the military moves to attack it. So, the question is whether this is going to lead the population of Earth to discover the existence of the Transformers. If not, how will the writers explain the TFs still remaining a secret? Will they explain it? And, if the secret is revealed, will it be a major plot point in Season 3?

Considering that there's a huge demonic tower leaning over a destroyed base with the small town seeing it reach to the skies with Jet Vehicons and dragons flying over it yes the secret will be definatly be out.

I'd honestly be shocked if the secret wasn't out. There's no way the military will be able to keep this secret; it would be virtually impossible. I also think it will play a role in how the Autobots (namely Smokescreen and Ratchet) go about and continue to try to keep a low profile.

If there's going to be a giant dragon chasing down fugitive Autobots around the globe, chances are that humans will be in the know up to a point....otherwise a huge mechanical monster divebombing an ambulance off a road is going to look a tad suspicious.

Yes, this is a major plot point. This has to happen, in most series they ALWAYS learn of their existence, why stop here?

I voted the last one though.

Since only about ten people seem to populate the planet, I doubt it'll be too much of an ordeal.

Well, they are taking a nice vibe from Transformers Cybertron with an invading Decepticon army and the Autobots being possibly framed as well as part of said army. I think the general public will be against the Autobots and they'll have to earn their trust, which I think will take up most of the season.

The words of characters like June Darby and Agent Fowler will not be good enough.

Also, the possible return of Silas could be influencing the Anti-Autobot thoughts into the human population.

I'm really hoping season 3 addresses this as megatron being all about conquest the next logical thing for him to do with the autobots broken would be to attempt to use his new fortress as a centre point to invade country's and to topple governments and that story would have to show a whole lot of more humans

:lolol  I laughed more than I should have. Probably because it's so true in Prime.

Unless the tower is some how destroyed really quick, which I am highly doubting at this point (but who knows this is Prime), the secret will be out and have a major effect on humanity and Earth. Dragons flying around trying to find Autobots all in different places around the U.S. can make for interesting UFO sightings thats for sure.

Pretty sure Silas isn't coming back, but I wouldn't be surprised if a former MECH operative was feeding the frenzy of Anti-Autobot sentiment.

They already conveniently and quickly evacuated Jasper, so they've already taken care of the problem. The transformers will not be found out in season 3.

    Ebay:
Fowler said he had Jasper evacuated. Could've removed folks far enough that they could stage a cover up.

Course, this assumes that the Prime writing crew "cleans up" New Kaon in the first five minutes of the 3rd Season. Remember, the show does havea penchant of making this crazy cliffhangers that are pretty much resolved within minutes of the next episode... or commercial break even!

It's a giant alien fortress tower; someone's going to notice.

Given the size of New Kaon I just don't see how they could cover that up. Even if the military can keep people way from New Kaon its something that can be seen for miles and miles since it dwarfs most mountains.

Or look at this way with the distance they keep the curious from Area 51 you still see long distance pictures of the place and satellite photos of it. Unless Transformers Prime has the worst reporters in the history of cartoons it's kind of hard for it not to be news.

Depends on how far out the residents of Jasper were evacuated. That's one damn big tower and I'm pretty sure it can be seen even from a great distance.

Don't think about it in a real world context

Think about it in a Prime world context.

You know, this world where people upload photos of the Transformers to websites, the kids find it, and replace it? Which I guess somehow gets rid of all the people that saw it before them, all the people who saved the image, and the original image itself? How about half a decepticon starship sitting out in the open for who knows how long, and never being discovered? Or hell, the giant Unicron walking around in the desert that was so huge it would have been visible for miles? No one saw it.

Remember that in this world, no effort actually has to be spent covering something up in a realistic way. It just is.
