With how well received TFP Arcee has been amongst the fandom, should she become the new base on which future Arcees are based on, or should G1 Arcee remain the main source of inspiration for future incarnations of the character? What do you think?

 

I don't care, if we get for once a Classics Arcee based on G1 Arcee that looks great, than they can base everyone else on TFP Arcee.

 

I damn well hope she is. To go back to G1 Arcee after breaking the mold and creating the super awesome Prime version, would be terrible.

 

Unlikely, given that Beast Wars Megatron has't really been the base for future Megatrons.

She'll likely be a major influence though, at least in the near future.

 

Just release a Classics Arcee, and then a Paradron Medic redeco, then go nuts.

Prime's Arcee is just an Energon Arcee retread anyway.

 

Main reason I prefer Prime Arcee is I prefer Blue over Pink.

 

I doubt TFP Arcee will take over, since G1 is the "bible" for the franchise, but I would like to see her portrayal have an impact on the way the character is handled in the future. Up until now, Arcee has been the token girl in the background, but TFP takes her seriously and makes her an important and meaningful character. That's what I would like to continue to see, even if the personality isn't exactly the same.

 

One can only hope.

 

G1 Arcee had characterization?

 

With fans it's hard to say.

For Hasbro I'm thinking that she will be their template for a while. They have been a bit shall we say reluctant to do much with a more original style Arcee but with Transformers Prime Arcee they seem willing to do figures right from the start.

I'm just happy that Hasbro is willing to cover the female characters even if they aren't the early versions of the character.

 

I could see TFP Arcee's personality being kept but I could see them going back to a car at some point.

 

Arcee's personality will probably be TFP but yeah they'll probably homage the g1 design from time to time simply because geeks dig that.

Though she might continue to be a motorcycle since Bumblebee is already "team's default car" and Hasbro said bikes sell well.

 

Hopefully future Arcees will be tough and blue.  

 

I hope so, I just pretend the others never happened after seeing this version. This version should be the standard of any future version of the character.

 

And I don't think they'll soo n be going back to the pink colour scheme for main line versions any time soon...maybe as a re-deco exclusive version but not mainline

 

Compared to the average G1 cast member, her character was incredibly well-defined.

She's badass, she's a badass in IDW, dunno about if that she should be blue or not but i wouldn't mind if she was blue.

Chromia can become G1 Arcee for all i care.
