I'd rather not have electronics on a figure.

I actually think having electronic phrases detracts from him. The light up eyes are great, but I'm not really a big fan of sound effects on toys.

Nope. I definitely want the Legends class Devs, and I'll probably get the inevitable oversized KO version. If I can find Supreme Devs for $40 on clearance or in the Buy/Sell/Trade form....well maybe. But I'm waiting to see if anyone makes a fan made custom that can combine all the individual Constructicons Deluxe and Voyager figures first.

Supreme Devastator will need hypnotic phrases to make people buy him.

If one of his phrases was "Who's yo Daddy" I might be tempted. Just for laughs.

After seeing the thing at Botcon, I can say without a doubt that I am looking forward to him. Sure he's simplistic, yet looks fun to mess around with. The electronics are just an added bonus.

You could give the toy lines from Blazing Saddles and Tropic Thunder and it still wouldn't be enough for me to get the figure.

Gimmicks really don't add anything to figure for me and more often than not make me dislike a figure that would have been far better without the gimmick. While the film version of Devastator looks like it's going to interesting visually, the toy just doesn't appeal to me at all.

A fair price will make me buy Devastator, nothing else.

Cool, how tall is he, Unicron size or smaller?

I guess he is no worse than G1 Omega Supreme in terms of a bolt together type toy but at least they managed to get the 30 year old Omega design walking.

I can count on one hand the number of toys where I go, "WOW! The sounds are awesome!"

9 out of 10 times, a toy's sound effects will require a cumbersome battery, wire, and speaker arrangement that gets in the way of fun. For example, I would have gladly sacrificed Leader Bulkhead's phrases for a simple ball-jointed head. Leader Brawl's sounds got so annoying, I took out the battery. Too bad taking out the battery doesn't give the turret full rotation. See what I mean?

If anything, Supreme Devastator's voice phrases make me want him less.

That would be about the only way I would accept such a heritical "Transformer" in my collection of awesomeness.

Supreme Devastator is not worthy to stand even in the shaddow of Brave Manimus, MP Grimlock, MP SS, MP Prime, MP Megatron, or Victory Leo.

Sorry, but he is just an overgrown Power Ranger to me...but, without any of the "power".

No, the only way I'd get him is if he had individual robot modes.

The only way the phrases alone would convince me to buy this is if they consisted of Kelsey Grammer reading Nietzsche quotes. Otherwise, no, I'll wait and see if the figure goes on clearance and pick it up then.

Oh. Well, when they were designing legends Devastator, they decided to kick maximum ass while doing it.

No. I cannot stand him. I want a Transformer that, you know, Transforms.

Another one of these devastatior threads really?!!

Yeah. I like it but its a cookie when I'm paying for cake.

It has elbows shoulder joints and knees, scrapper gives it posable fingers of sorts. All of the electronics are packed into mixmaster.

Its pretty good. But its not good enough to make me buy more than the one.

Any guesses as to how much of that $100/£100 goes on the electronics?
