While I agree with the above, I find it's useful to also never say never when it comes to the Bay movies.

Even if Shia is off doing all his other doings there's always a possibility he might turn up in a short cameo even if he's not a main character this time.

Shia does ok when his dialogue isn't revolving around girl issues or spouting off copious amounts of exposition. So... I don't know, bring him back or not, just have better writing for whoever is the main human.

 

If they do have a new human character, that means there's a chance Bumblebee will die.
