While he was pissed at Prime for what he did I doubt he'd go as far and join the guys who were first resposible for Cybertron being the way it is,and if so I doubt it'd be permanent

Seriously, people. How awesome would it be if Thundertron and his crew showed up and Ratchet joined that? Don't the Star Seekers hate both sides for ruining Cybertron?

 

Ratchet's already bad. He just needs to start yelling & complaining at Decepticons on a regular basis rather than Autobots to switch sides

 

All you people saying Ratchet can't turn bad probably said the same about Rhinox.

 

I don't think he'll ever become a Decepticon, but I could see him agree to help repair the Omega Lock until he came to his senses.

I think the Synth En showed us that even when his arrogance is at its worst, he can't quite crossover to evil.

They hate Cybertron for letting the Space Bridge Network collapse and for leaving the Colony Worlds on their own.

 

I don't see Ratchet going evil at any point in this series.

I mean, sure, he was pissed about what Optimus had done, as all they seemed to be. Ratchet just ranted more than them. In time, he'll understand that Optimus did what he thought was for the best, and he'll respect him for it. Though he doesn't show it often, Ratchet does care for Earth and the Humans, and I'm pretty sure, no, certain, that he'd rather live on Earth while Cybertron remained uninhabitable than live on Cybertron knowing Earth and humanity suffered for it.

 

Yeah this. I think fans are really overthinking this. I mean yeah off course you'd prefer your homeworld and be pissed that your best friend screwed up saving it but i don't think he'd join the Cons.

 

Can't see how anyone could think Ratchet changing sides is a possibility.

If Ratchet and Optimus are "old friends", why would he up and join Megatron who have been long time enemies? Even if it was something over revival of the planet, you can't just walk away from a long friendship like that.

Honestly, if TF was a soap opera, it could happen.

I can think back to another pair of "old friends" that went different ways during a conflict about actions on Cybertron. That would be Optimus Primal and Rhinox during Beast Machines.

 

If he does, it'd be pretty out of character.

And judging by the previous few episodes, that sounds about write for Prime's writing.

What happened? Did Rhinox join the Predicons or just cut himself off from Optimus Primal?

Was that pun intended?

 

In Beast Wars he was part of the Predacons but sabotaging them from the inside out so he could lead.

In Beast Machines he appeared to be part of the Vehicons but he was actually planning to sabatoge Megatron and pit him further against the Maximals so he could take over and rule the Vehicons.

I'd say he worked alone but plans to lead an army eventually.

I'm not sure if Ratchet would throw his lot in with Megatron, but it would be a hell of an interesting plot thread if they did.
