Disclaimer: Please don't blow me apart for posting this topic, but I do have an interest in these products. My intent is to play original, imported titles, on my USDM Wii console, nothing more.

With that out of the way, I'm very new to this entire topic, but the Super Smash delay has me looking for alternatives. Please don't mind questions barrage.  

does anyone have either of these products? I'm tossed between which chip to get.

Also, can you play online with these? I'd hate to install this for SSB (J) and not be able to play Mario Kart (US) online in the future.

How about upgrading the chip's firmware? Does either brand have better support? From what I've been reading, Wiikey owners can't launch Super Smash Bros.

Any notes on console "bricking" due to Wii system firmware upgrades?
