After watching DOTM more than 3x's, I wonder why Optimus or the soilders thought it was a good idea to put Que in the final battle.

Personally it would have been fair to have Que stay with the military under protection, and avoid his cruel and easy death.
If I had it my way, Jolt would have joined the autobots in the final battle.

 

Maybe he volunteered? Or thought the idea of staying with his armed Autobot brothers would keep him safer than playing sitting duck.

 

He had a badass sword on his back.

But he never got to use it. Showing Sam's job hunting was more important whan giving Q sreentime. That's common knowelge man!

 

Because the plot said so. He needed to become Barricade fodder

 

You have to wonder, if he's not fighting, where would he go?

 

In war, you need everybody....

 

Into the big plot hole, where Jolt, Leo and most of the humans from TF1 are at.

 

Yet but not everybody need to be on the battlefield.

Battles are won't from bunkers and laboraties as well

True, and do what in the lab.....you got an army of maybe hundreds of decepts...and about..11 autobots....i more upset, they didnt show how they got caught...

 

Because in a battle this size, they needed EVERYBODY.

 

Create a nuclear bomb that destroys decepticons and leaves everything else unharmed.

I doubt this Wheeljack would shoot a con right in front of his face...

He wasn't so much put into battle, but more there because he had evacuated NEST with the Autobots and came back to Chicago with them.

There was no base for him to hang around in, and the Autobots are still sneaking around so its safer to stick with your armed buddies than hide in an old building that Clovercon and a few protoforms are approaching.

It was just his unfortunate luck that he got captured with the other Autobots and was picked first to die.

To put it simply, he was out there because there was no where else for him to be.

 

The title of this topic just suddenly made me think of the 1986 film, in which Magnus is tapping his fingers to the side of his head as Perceptor is explaining where they can go for repairs.

-arcee(s) would have been killed by dreads on highway
-wheeljack, megatron, starscream, and soundwave would still be alive
-twins would have been in the film and died with ironhide
-there would be no genericon/bot cheap shit
-and tf4 would be coming out in 2 yrs with megs as the main villian, cyclonus as secondary, stunticons as the con troops, and proper story and character development that doesnt leave anybody but the select few idiot critics going "wtf is this shit" and "whats with all the plot holes?".

i see your point though, cause even when sentinal attacked optimus when he first awakened, wheeljack didnt even show up with the rest of his comrads to back prime up if needed.

 

In this all out war where everyone is needed, I would say soldier first, scientist later. Ratchet is a medic and you usually see him fighting the cons and not stuck in the repair bay. The Autobots need numbers on their side. Besides, creating tools of war is not so innocent.
