Recently did something stupid of attempting to find the FoC Combaticons at retail. Swindle wasn't too hard to find, Onslaught wasn't too hard to find, Brawl was a bit of trouble, even Vortex was a figure I could find.

But Blast Off wasn't in any store I went to even stores that had the rest of the Combaticons in stock. On-line he's even the most likely figure to be sold out.

So does anyone know what the deal is with Blast Off being such a hard to find figure? I though perhaps it was just a regional thing, but given that he's hard to find from dependable on-line retailers it feels like something weird is up with him.

 

I found him easily with swindle and from what I've heard, all five are one each to a case. I've seen people leave vortex and brawl behind while getting the other three, probably due to them looking the crappiest.

 

Seems to be the same up here.I went to Target the other day and they had all of them except for Blast Off.Then I did find all five of them at a Walmart,but when I went back the very next day,the Blast Off was gone,but the rest of them were still there.Kinda weird.

blast off is generally agreed to have the least garish colors and one of the better molds of the combaticons, so that's probably it.

 

All the scalpers got together and agreed that Blast Off was the one to scalp. They know fans need all 5 and if a coordinated effort makes Blast Off rare, it makes him worth more $$ since fans need him to complete their Bruticus.

Brawl is the harder one to find in my area. I've come across Blast Off several times. Brawl only once.

I've seen them all here in retail, in the wild. But I know a guy who occassionally gets stuff for dirt cheap and sells them, so I waited and eventually he came with those five and I got them for $4 a pop.

 

The reason I think he's the hardest to find is because he's not that bright (well, compared to the other retail Combaticons), & purple is a pretty popular color with Transformers.

 

In this area, they're all hard to find. I've only come across Brawl and ironically Blast Off one time, and the others not at all.

But my guess would be that he's really awesome.

I'm glad I got SDCC Bruticus, but for the same reason, I dread hunting for Ruination.

 

I am having issues finding him as well.

Only figure I need to complete another set of Bruticus.

 

Blastoff is the only one I have found.

 

I've seen them a couple of times. Once, I saw all five at a Walmart. Of course, that Walmart must have just got them.

 

Lol the only one I've seen is blastoff. Once. At my local Target that only has PRID Bumblebee and FOC optimus. :|

 

I've seen almost the entire set quite often but that was a month after their release.

 

That guy who used to buy up all the G1 Dreadwinds has a new obsession.

 

Part of it is people are using the G2 bruticus and swapping guys for a decent color scheme. That's why Brawl is so common in stores, he's almost identical to the G2 version. People want to replace the white blast off on G2, so he's one of the earliest ones to go.
