I have noticed that on the bst almost everyone is selling their prime figs. What gives??? granted the FE were better but the cartoon is still pretty good IMO.

Same here. Except I bought Meg, Ratchet, Soundwave and am slowly going through the wonderful Cyberverse. I've never even seen a Vehicon in stores.

It's a phenomenon that I call "Shelfwarmer decay." While a line is available in stores, people begin to resent the stuff on their shelves because when they go out hunting, the stuff they already have is still sitting there, blocking the new stuff from coming in. They forget that they love the toys and once pined after them heavily.

And then several months after the show ends and the line leaves the shelves for good, people remember what excellent toys they were and go BACK and buy them.

Most likely it's because people got tired of the toys. It's the same way with most TF series after they've been out for a while, and heading towards the end of the series. In addition, I think a lot of people have just been disappointed with the direction of the TV series and toyline, so they're getting out while there's still interest in it.

They got hyped and bought all the figures and once the hype faded they realized they didn't really care for the figures. Seems to happen with a lot of shows and the figures end up becoming dirt cheap.

I think the OP meant "tFp" but his finger slipped and hit the "c" instead of the "f".

Yep. Once you see it happen a couple of times, it becomes more obvious.

I just opened Voyager Dreadwing, Breakdown, and FE Bulkhead. Love them! Also opened Deluxe Smokescreen, Jet Vehicon, Knockout, and two regular Vehicons. They all look great on the shelf. Ordered reprolabels for Knockout to make him look better. Opened Airarachnid also. She isn't as bad as everyone said but she still is back in the corner of the shelf. Going to wait until Jet Vehicon General arrives to ship my POL with Skyquake in it. Hopefully I will have those two in time for Easter. I really like this line and when my son is a little older, he might enjoy playing with them. He just turned 5, so Cyberverse is still more his thing right now.

I got a whole bookcase dedicated to TFP toys. Mine aren't going anywhere. XD As uneven as the show's writing can be, the figures are pretty neat in general. Of course, there are some stinkers (*cough* Airachnid *cough*) but they're genuinely fun toys, I think. The aesthetic direction of the new Beast Hunters line does make me a little wary though, but we'll see how it pans out. Even if BH is a bomb, it won't make me dump the toys in the previous lines (FE, RiD, and AM plus Cyberverse).

Frustration with distribution, or some Takara items not being released by Hasbro, may be a factor too (?)

I had a bunch of them. Sold nearly all of them due to loss of interest and deciding to focus on G1. Got tired of the crazy hunting, the FE situation, and some QC issues I experienced. However, I kept cyberverse Megatron and RID Vehicon just to have something. Then I found FE Bulk at TRU for cheap and decided to go for it again. Then saw RID Starscream on clearance at Walmart and grabbed him, which crazy enough I LOVE and enjoy more than I ever did my FE of him. Then grabbed a FE Vehicon to go with the RID. So I'm slowly getting back into it. I dont plan on much more. Maybe FE Prime, RID Megatron, and a couple others. That's going to be it. I need the space and the cash for G1.

Ummm....no. I got rid of mine primarily because I just wasn't into the toy line. Some of them looked good, while there were some that reminded me of the movie toys I just couldn't give two shits about. I kept one or two, but I definitely won't be "buying them back." I'm just more into the third party offerings and the generations line.

    Yea....I could agree with this.
