Looking up some Dark of the Moon stuff & came across this listing a while ago:

    Amazon.com: DA-34 Leadfoot: Toys & Games

(its actually come down quite a bit; the original listed price was $1500).

I know DOTM was cut short & Leadfoot never came out here but neither did Que and he doesn't demand that kind of aftermarket price. Was Leadfoot's release extremely limited?

I don't know why he's rarer than Que, but he was definitely the better figure. I had a TT deluxe Leadfoot all stickered up with Reprolabels. He was a thing of beauty.

Released in Asia, and the fact that online retailers jack up the prices like a bunch of jackasses.

He was released October / November 2011, and yes, possibly in shorter supply. Or possibly, people still expected the Target release to happen at that point so didn't buy him up - and then stocks were harder to come by when the penny dropped, unlike the other two.

Or maybe he was simply produced in smaller numbers since he had an overall smaller role in the movie?

Supply and demand. If people will pay stupid amounts for a scarce deluxe, then it'd be dumb to sell it for a fraction of its worth.

After hearing about this, I checked my Leadfoot which was in a box with other figures. It's OK.

Because Hasbro put the needs of Air Raid and the twins over the needs of on-screen characters.

The good thing is, I believe this figure still has a chance to be released in the future. By future I mean years, could be awhile.

It's one of those figures that was developed and never truly released. We've seen Hasbro/Takara be willing before to find ways to release these types of figures, either in a Generations type sub-line or as exclusives.

    But, don't hold your breath.

Well I think people got hold of the Hasbro Wheeljack, and so he is now cheaper compared to Leadfoot I didn't really get a Hasbro release.

I'm pretty content with the Human Alliance Leadfoot. He might be a little out of scale, but he IS the leader of the Wreckers.

More like Takara blew it, since they did Movie Advanced figures from the previous three movies, so they could have put out Leadfoot again with even better paint apps. Buy the reprolabel Target logos, and it would have been perfect.

Target had no problem getting the HA Leadfoot out, and sat on them until they were clearanced for like $8. The deluxe would have joined them if the other deluxes sold at all, but DotM had some of the worst wave distribution of all time from Hasbro.

I hoped that his appearance in AOE would get him a toy eventually.
