First I thought it was cause I didn't get into the show, but I dig the G1 toys even though I never watched the cartoons.

I went to TRU just now to return the FE Entertainment pack after contemplating opening it for 3 days. And I saw all the FE Deluxe figures on the peg, but didn't feel like grabbing them.

Now I am sitting here reading reviews and things people are saying, to convince me I need to get them, but nothing is clicking yet. Maybe this thread will...LOL

Hey, if you don't like them, you don't like them. Nothing to be done.

Your money is better spent else where in that case.

You were probably better off getting the deluxes lol. I never saw the entertainment pack as anything special.

I wasn't crazy about the Prime Toys at first, I wasn't really into the look of them which to me looks like a mash up of Bayverse and TF Animated. I bought the FE toys last Nov, not even sure I really wanted them. I finally I got on board a little later on after opening a few of the later figures and actually watching the show.

But like others have said, if you don't llike it, maybe you just don't like it.

You don't HAVE to like them. Maybe they're not your cup of tea?

A shame you passed on the Starscream - it's the best of the bunch, for me. I'd have kept the Entertainment Pack too - the Megatron deluxe is simply excellent.

When I first saw them I thought they looked ridiculous. Had no intention of buying any of them. Then I saw Commander Megatron and thought he looked interesting, so I bought him.

He then sat on a shelf on his card for about 3 months. One day I decided to randomly open it and discovered that once in my hand, I enjoyed the transformation and even the aesthetic became more pleasing. From there I bought a commander starscream and optimus. Loved them too, which is weird because I never thought that starscream would grow on me. It snuck up on me tho.

I continued buying commanders and legion figures one or two at a time once a week because they were cheap and fun to fiddle with. I didn't expand into the Deluxes until I bought MP Thundercracker during the b2g1 sale and nothing close to TC's price interested me, didn't want Voyagers, because for some reason the larger the scale of a prime toy the less good it looks to me, so I decided to try wheeljack and cliff jumper. Again, same thing with Megatron. Debated opening them, decided a few days later 'ah fuck it' and found once they were in my hand that I loved them. They are sleek in a way that classics aren't and I just love transforming them. I've since decided to complete the line, at least in terms of molds... Tho I still have no real intention of buying the voyagers. I only have dreadwing and will buy skyquake, but I doubt I'll get anyone else.

So my suggestion, if you WANT to like the line, start small and try out a commander class figure. They should still be 8.99 at TRU. Grab skyquake, dreadwing, optimus, megatron or starscream. Fiddle with it and see what you think. Low risk, potentially high reward.

You probably dislike certain foods...but do you read message boards about foods trying to persuade you into liking them?

It's all about personal preference. You should be yourself, and not let others brainwash you into liking (or even disliking) something. Move on to other things, or keep looking for some hidden part of the Prime toys that makes you like them.

Personally, I liked the cartoon first, and then the toys. The style and design look perfect in my opinion. The "Animated" line looks bad to me (Toys and Cartoon), but I gave it one episode to try and made my decision. The Movie toys look bland and all robots look alike to me. So I don't bother with any of those. I just go with what I like, and don't try to make myself like what isn't interesting to me.

You should buy Prime because they are highly detailed figures but not too detailed like the movie toys are.

I actually do this, but only if said foods are actually nutritionally dense/beneficial. No need to force myself to like deep-fried skim milk. Avocados on the other hand, ugh, despite being of Mexican-descent, I'm not a fan, but damnit, they are technically good for us.

I enjoy them and updated futuristic versions of G1 toys. The Wheeljack/Deadn End mold is just absolutely badass. I enjoy how Ratchet transformers (even with the faux chest). The BB mold is great even with his colors, but look at the Shadow BB or Hot Shot especially to see how it can look. The Vehicons are one of the best figures I've ever owned, etc etc I can go on and on.

Airachnid on the other hand lol

I like the figures I have so far.

FE Starscream is seriously the best toy of the last year or so.

    This.

I have been staying away from Prime toys since late last year when they first started showing up in stores. At first it was because of monetary concerns, I had just started out collecting full scale and wanted to explore the movieverse and classics. Then there was also the reason that I had not yet seen the show, still haven't.

But over time, after looking at scores of pictures, reading about them, and watching people discuss the figures at length, I have finally decided to step into the Prime toys line. I'll be starting out with the Cyberverse figures, mostly Commander class and then I'll see where I go from there. Certainly don't want to get into the deluxe and higher classes.

If you don't like them, don't buy them.

I haven't bought them myself, since I don't like them.

If you have to convince yourself to try and like them, buying them would be a waste of your money.

Why buy something you don't like?

Meh if you don't like em, you don't like em.

Buy a Vehicon. If you don't like that, there's no way in hell you'll like any of the others.

the purpose of this thread blows my mind.

OP - if you don't like em, don't get em. Why do you need convincing to spend money on something you currently don't even like? to fit in? To feed a habit? Just stop it...

Wait till you see something you truly like - you'll know in an instant, and your purchase will feel that much better.

If you don't like it, don't get it.

That's a bit cynical. Haven't you ever wavered on something, being of two minds about it, so you seek the opinions of others to see if there is an angle you hadn't thought about that might help you make up your mind?

Clearly the OP is of two minds, otherwise the thread wouldn't exist or at the least it would be in the form of a question. Just think of it as a simpler question "what about the Prime line do you all like?" That's all this really is. It's not a plea for acceptance.

I haven't always just known in an instant if I like something or not. Sure, some things, absolutely. Some I immediately look at and know I hate. Others, I'm on the fence about it. I think I may like it, but do I like it enough to outweigh concerns of cost, space, fear of obsession, etc? There are toys (and many things besides toys) that I've debated on buying or getting into for months. Seeking out the opinions of those who have already made up their minds on something you are of yet undecided on is fine.

If the OP is gullible enough to buy something he doesn't like or want just because other people said he should, then he deserves to waste his money because clearly it is better served going to use driving the economy than sitting in his moronic pocket.

If you're trying to get an entire message board to tell you why you should like a certain line of toys........

Then you're probably better off not getting into them in the first place. No sense in being told why you should like certain things when you don't. Its like forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do when its not even necessary.

All these "if you don't like it, don't buy it" comments... Has anyone ever heard of "Don't knock it till you try it"?
