The weird thing is why Blitzwing (who can vaguely remember the Quints while Kup can't) does not look aged. I am guessing it is because Blitzwing was built after Kup was built/rebuilt.

 

Kup was rebuilt after his run-in with the radioactive crystals, whichever ore those were.

Sorry digressing from the original topic, but was there any explanation why he seemed to be isolated from other Autobots (like in the flashback Chaos episode) for so long, in any IDW, Wings Universe, etc., publication?

I was reading about Kup on Beta9 on TF Wiki but it looked like he got back to Cybertron after that adventure.

 

Same reasons we all aren't driving cars made in the 1930's.

Do cars show wrinkles and age lines like on a human face?

 

After accidents, yes.

Wrinkles, no. Fine line (and deeper) cracks and pits? yes.

 

Because they are older than dirt. Optimus is 9 million years old and he is not considered old. Imagine how many millions of years Kup and Alpha are kicking around by comparison. Even machines are damaged and getting weather by times passing. Though Kup after been rebuilt by the Quintesson, had no signs of damage on his body and he stopped limping. Plus he was shinny again, suggesting he got revitalised. At least bodywise.
