Seriously, Voyager Galvatron was a very flawed figure, and there are a few custom solutions, plus some Shapeways helmets, but those don't do enough for me. Do you think we will ever get a factory produced replacement for this guy? I'd like for the head to be de-headmastered and integrated into the transformation. No partsforming. Plus, an arm adaptor for the cannon would be nice, but I'm pretty ok with the shapeways solutions for that.

 

Considering that his design has to allow it for the cannon and that he partsformed in the show, I don't see how it could work.

Agreed on removing the Headmaster gimmick though.

If Wei Jiang decided to OS it, I'd maybe buy him. He should have been a leader figure from the start. Though, it'd be interesting to see him OS into MP-10 or MPP-10 height.

 

I should clarify, no partsforming for the head. The cannon I understand. That's actually impossible by design.

A non Headmaster head, adapter for his cannon (like the one here Galvatron Cannon Adapter Generations Titans Return Shapeways Third Party Upgrade Review - Transformers News Reviews Movies Comics and Toys) and gap fillers for his legs would be a good start.

 

Thrusters and wings for the jetmode.
New shoulderpylons.
Non-headmaster head.
Arm connector for the cannon.
Could make a pretty decent upgrade kit with all that.

 

Just pay the difference and get one of the better-made third-party versions...

 

Are they better? I mean the only one in the sizeframe that's comparable is Mania King and hell knows I prefer Galvatron due to his transformation being easy and not a nightmare. All of the other ones are MP scaled and therefore are useless.

I mean all I'd need is a better helmet and I'd be 100% happy with TR Galv, but I have hilariously bad painting abilities so can't just Shapeways one. But I'm me and I'm completely fine with the Headmaster given its blatantly a tiny Megatron

 

Mania King transformation is not a nightmare at all. My only problem with him is that he's not as tall as mp10v

 

My point is more simply that adding upgrade kits to general retail toys is, as the saying goes: "putting lipstick on a pig".

 

You can try and polish a turd but you'll get shit on your hands.

 

I mean, I have both of them and I enjoy TR Galv more. He feels less fragile and less likely to have his tiny plastic bits bend

Mania King is king of Galvatron CHUGs. His transformation isn't a nightmare.

 

There aren't any upgrades because the market isn't there for them like it was 3+ years ago. Upgrades ain't what 3P companies make money at anymore. Small garage outfits and 3D prints is all you get.

 

People want them, so yes there is a market for them. The number of items available on shapeways, plus all the combiner wars upgrade kits should be proof enough there's still a market for upgrade kits
