Honestly I am increasingly convinced that DOTM should have been movie 4 and RotF should have been split into two movies.

Trilogies were a big thing back then. Now, its all about cinematic universes.

If the original idea for the Bayverse was a trilogy then they should have planned out the following series instead of going by the seat of their pants. If Bay didn't want anything to do with more films he should've handed off the reigns with AoE and stayed as producer only.
And this is where going wholely original ie not using any source material for ideas, blew up in their face.
I have yet to see TLK because it had gotten too silly with AoE.
While I enjoyed the Bumblebee movie I still don't know where the franchise is headed (aside from Autobots and Decepticons coming to earth) since again they've decided to go in a different direction.

No, it's not. Litterally every single cinematic universe aside from Marvel has failed. The fad is over.

I mean, I never said they were successful lol.
Theres just a lot who have tried it.
Transformers, DC, Universal's Dark Universe, WB's Monsterverse (that one's fate hangs by a thread right now), The Conjuring.

On that note, The Conjuring is the only non-MCU cinematic universe that has actually had success.

Back when I said only your opinion on anything matters, I was not wrong. Because Bumblebee is not gasping for breath in the box office.

Bumblebee also was confirmed to NOT be part of the same continuity as the bay films by Hasbro themselves.

Bumblebee was the death knell of the Transformers Cinematic Universe. It completely overrides the established history from all the previous films. The Allspark is never mentioned, Sector Seven exists prior to Transformers, who themselves only appear in 1987, every looks different, acts different, is different.

"Cinematic Universes" are a dead gimmick. Only Marvel managed success because they planned it so far in advance, and even then there's people unhappy about it.

A bit optimistic, because I'm sure Hollywood will keep chasing "cinematic universes" for years to come, despite failing at it.

Just 'cuz it's dead doesn't mean Hollywood bigwigs won't drag its decomposing corpse around Weekend at Bernie's style to try and wring that little bit of extra capital out of it.

Then why bring up Bumblebee when discussing cinematic universes if you even admit Bumblebee has nothing to do with the now failed TFCU? Hasbro did not state that Bumblebee was part of the TFCU but rather a "new storytelling universe".

I meant that your statement that Bumblebee is a separate timeline is irrelevant to the conversation. Just because the "TFCU" is more than giant colorful lego bricks glued together and "tHe OtHeR 30 yEaRs Of TrAnSfOrMeRs" does not mean it is failed. I keep saying it, and you keep proving it.

Offense to what? I don't even know who you are.

Also, you're gonna be hearing a lot from me, because I never shut up, especially when people chat nonsense. You seemingly have no concept of what a shared/cinematic universe actually is if you can consider a movie from a separate continuity as somehow still part of it. The entire point of a TFCU was that all the films would be in-continuity with each other, that was the entire point of TLK retconning Bee as having been on Earth since WWII.

I stg you two love playing dumb.
I explained that I don't care where Bumblebee is but you apparently want to keep the argument going by feeding off Burnout's stupidity and putting words in my mouth that I don't know that. Please lay off before this ends with you defending yourself with your dusty ass Studio Series shelves again.
