Hello, this is Megano here speaking about certain things about a "dinobot combiner". Personally i am here to wonder why anyone would want one, the dinobots themselves were unique as they were pretty much one of the first autobot subgroups, turned into dinobots, and if im correct were, for a while the only autobot subgrup that never combined.(Despite having atleast five members)

I just dont think they should do it, i never thought Grimlock would really prefer combination over taking anything down with his brute force, i hope to see someone answers this question.

 

I don't want ComDinorBots myself, but it's not had to see why someone might.

. many other 'named subfactions' combine, so why not them?
. Dinobots are already kewl badasses, and making them combiners would turn that up to 11.

Personally, I see the Dinobots as sorta like Kilngons. They're all about their own toughness and strength, but combining would mean they weren't strong enough to handle a situation separately.

 

Yes. I always thought they would be a cool autobot counterpart to the predacons and Predaking.

With original characters like how it was under the Power Core Combiner line, I'd be for it. But with Grimlock and company, no.

 

With basically EVERY TRANSFORMER being a combiner now the point seems moot.

 

In toyform it might be cool, but i dont think i'd ever want them to combine in fiction. They are allready ridiculously overpowered as it is.

 

Whatever gets some animal/beast retools out of the Combiner Wars play pattern. Dinobots, Predacons, Seacons, Terrorcons; the more the better. I've already got Classics-styled Dinobots anyway so anything else, if the gimmick is good, is just a bonus... one I'm not forced to add to my collection out of necessity.

What I wouldn't want, is turning the Dinobots into Headmasters.

 

Maybe it could be a sub-group with smaller dinos.

 

Clobber turns into Grimlock's head and Ptero turns into Swoop's head.

 

Come on, let's face it guys, a Dinobot combiner would be the most awesome robot ever in Transformers lore.

 

I believe the demand for a Dinobot combiner was really high around the time the Power Rangers debuted, say the 90s? After all, the Megazord was awesome in a way the Dinobots hadn't been yet.

 

Because it would be so cool to see the five biggest badasses in Transformers turn into an even bigger and more powerful badass. I've said it before: dinosaurs are cool, robots are cool, therefore robotic dinosaurs are mega cool. It should talk a lot to kill the cool of a combiner made of robotic dinosaurs.

I could see this as an in story rEason for them to be reluctant to combine. Far better than because the combiner would b unstable.

Yeah, I think that was kind of a horror from out of nowhere.

 

Seeing how every attempt by Hasbro to make Dinobots combine has gone horribly wrong, from a Frankenstein monster to Grimlock using Swoop as pants, no thank you.

 

They are already too powerful and too stupid. Combination will make them more stupid and unstoppable.   Nobody wants that king of abomination. It'll surely attack both autobots and decepticons.

 

Yeah... that was designed to be intentionally bad and hated. I wouldn't use that as a yardstick for potential G1 Dinobot combiners.

 

Where did you hear that from? I thought the author tried to defend it?

 

I'd love a Dinobot combiner! Although imagine if they took a ROTF route and instead of just being a larger bot, their combined form is a sturdy-looking, quadrupedal, dragonesque beast.
