    Let me preface this by saying I've only been collecting for a year, so I'm still quite a noob, so please go easy on me. This question isn't meant to belittle people who collect this scale, just generally curious about the whole appeal.

    Please let me know why you enjoy collecting this scale, what are the benefits for you as a collector?

    (Edit: It seems many were offended by this question and for that I apologize. This was not my intention at all.)

    - Fun to fiddle with.

    -Easier to pose/display

    - Easier to box up / move (In Asia people move house more often)

    - Wife less likely to kill me

    There's plenty of topics with the same question.

    What @Poo said, plus they scale great with citybots.

    I recently got that DX9 Dinobot set and I've immediately fallen in love with them. I won't buy more figures at that size since I'm good with my MPs. But honestly, if I could start all over again putting together a complete line-up of S1-3 characters, I'd buy Legends. They're cheaper, seem like more fun and take up less space. Many of them look almost as toon accurate as the newer MPs, some of them look even better (Hot Rod, Grimlock). I'd only buy MP versions of my favourite characters.

    Wow, the thread title and questions here certainly aren't excessively judgmental and hostile or anything.

    Perhaps the simplest answer is that just because you're not interested in something doesn't make it a "waste" of time for others. Let people like what they like.

    If you don't like them, don't buy them? Plenty of people love them

    Actually, less time is wasted transforming one these. Though more time is wasted with an entire field of them.

    Small toys have a unique charm. They're efficient and simple so theirs no fluff, no extraneous features, no real complexity to them getting in the way of "I just wanna have a fun little dood to pose n transform".

    Desk bots, things that take up little space, look good and have a cuteness to them as well. It's like how sometimes you want to have have a small snack with a drink rather than a full course meal. That's how you're meant to think of little toys. They can also be complimentary pieces. I'm particularly fond of the "little bro big bro" dynamic you get with legends toys sitting besides their larger counterparts;

    Furthermore iron factory are so good at what they do they've inspired other companies with their work. I've certainly taken some lessons from their use of color and paint and applied it to our own projects a few times.

    They're great for those of us that don't have much space. My apartment wouldn't allow MP sized combiners but legends size is perfect!

    Bigger =/= better

    I don't collect them at all, but.....
    • take up little space
    • not too expensive
    • easy to get the entire roster
    • mini MP figures in some cases

    The appeal of Legends to me is their brilliant complexity at a such small size... Their are amazing!

    I only have New Age Megatron, but I will buy their seekers someday to complement my G1 MP display.

    I might need such a T-shirt. Also I never saw Emgo's actual face before (at least, I assume that's him for obvious reasons). He kinda looks like my boss.

    Not sure if that shirt is still for sale. I just made that GIF from an old video from 2011:

    He has quite a few such videos of him talking to camera, just look thru his channel.

    100% cringe worthy question that has been answered in at least four threads already. :thumb

    Lol upset much? Waste of a thread......... but I'm gonna bite.

    - cheaper on wallet
    - fun to play with on a work desk
    - take up less space
    - very popular
    - company like iron factory captures the idw comics to a t......... mostly.
    - same with newage and magic square for g1
    - newage like a mini masterpiece
    - covering all tf season characters quicker than mps/ft
