Who's joining me by actively not caring about football in the least, on this day of days? Or any day, for that matter? I'm guessing not many - prove me wrong!
Ha! I'm watching the mythbusters marathon as well. Not to mention making tests and homework for my students.
I'm in too. I don't care about football and I generally hate the superbowl. Why? Because the superbowl (or many other football games for that matter) consistently throw off the schedule for shows worth watching (IMO) like The Simpsons, King of the Hill and Family Guy.
Don't care, not watching, don't even know who is playing. I'm working on programming homework and control systems homework. I peeked in the other room and caught that squirrel commercial, that was kinda funny.
I used to be one of you guys, not giving two shits about any sporting event. This is the first year I'm watching it, mainly b/c I want the Patriots to smoke the Giants and have an undefeated season
Make that 8, MMM. Just listening to my MP3 stash and playing some NES emulators and NeoRAGEx on my comp.
I despise football, but the rest of my family is watching. I've been watching G1 episodes in my room.
Count me in the "not watching football" camp. I don't get the popularity of the sport at all, given how slow it is and the frequent stoppages in play, so I can't even begin to understand all the hoopla around the Superbowl. What perplexes me the most is people actually getting wound up about the commercials. I can understand someone who loves the sport watching and enjoying the game, but getting excited about an advertisement? I'm spending my day surfing the 'net, reading comics, watching Mythbusters/Transformers and otherwise trying to avoid football. That said, I hope the Patriots lose. When I was in Canada over Christmas, one of the local channels pre-empted their evening news to show the Patriots' "historic" final regular season game. I normally just ignore football, but when it interrupts something I'm trying to watch, it fills me with a near infinite rage. The Patriots were responsible for that interruption, ergo, I hope they are denied their perfect season.
Haha, same here. I have to do that a lot with my college football team. Don't tell anyone, though, or I'm sure I'd be murdered.
I am watching the Pang Bros. film abnormal beauty and looking at the boards when not playing Guild Wars.
I always find that part entertaining. "HEY, YOU SEE THE GAME LAST NIGHT?" "No." "OH MAN YOU MISSED IT IT WAS SO AWESOME IN THE 4TH QUARTER THEY (etc. etc. etc.)" "Oh, neat. Who was playing?" "OH MY GOD ONLY THE COOLEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY (etc., etc.)" "Uh...great. Who won?" "MY BOYS STOMPED ALL OVER THEIR (etc)" "Uh...great. I'm going to go be productive now."
