So Hubcap, Animated Arcee , and PCC Huffer are now permanent residents of of my Classics collection. Is that a stretch? They all look good in alt forms! Plus I have the minibots that were so hard to find. (Wheelie, Warpath, Cosmos, and Brawn.)
I dunno, in my opinion Animated is the one line that can really only fit with itself. I mean, I love the Arcee figure, but to be honest I don't really think she works with Classics. Hubcap and Huffer work fine, though, they totally fall into that realm of "pseudo-Classics hybrids". But hey, don't let other people tell you how to display your collection! If it works for you, that's all that matters! And when in doubt, remember that no line was more of a stylistic grab-bag than G1, so there is quite a healthy precedent for a mixed collection.
I agree, her and Magnus and Rodimus look awesome together! Just need a Kup and Blurr! And Blurr is on the way!
I display the Classics in Alt mode, so Arcee, Huffer and Hubcap fit in just fine. I missed Silverbolt because I was broke, and I couldn't justify Powerglides robot mode...the only two I am missing...
I agree 100% with WM, I have a few figures in my classics line up. -Energon WingSaber as Star Saber -Energon Downshift as Wheeljack -PCC Huffer -HTFD Seaspray -ROTF Bludgeon -ROTF Mindwipe and Skystalker as Mindwipe and Vorath (I believe that's his name) -ROTF Lockdown Any thing that doesn't look too outta place for me. Like I had the Target variant of 2007 Jazz in the line up but eventually took him down because it just didn't look right and we are getting a better one.
Putting all theses dudes, and one dudet, on a four lane highway makes me feel like a kid again. Windcharger, Jazz, and Tracks are going to be the icing on the cake!
Huffer and Hubcap are in my Classics display too. I don't own Arcee, but I'd give rate her a possible fit.
arcee looks fine(except her big head) with classics. anyone know if wincdcharger is gonna be a legends? i took legends o.p. and smokescreen and they're huffer and windcharger now.
This thread is misleading. I thought you were going to let people who don't have Classics molds pay you to be able sleep with your figures. Naturally, a night with Shattered Glass Optimus/Rodimus or Gentei Windcharger would only have been for premium paying customers.
hey it's your collection, include what ever you'd like lol personally, i've been planning on getting a few galaxy force figures, like armorhide, and using that as pipes; energon jetfire would make a nice scattershot, and Scorponok, and Shockblast, work well too, and or six shot; and dark scorponok too.
I'd add in that, if you're happy with TFA Arcee in there, and so you should be, that TFA Blurr works really well, too.
question: would you put TFA Wreck-Gar in your Classics display? that one has had my brain itching for a while. Bot mode, maybe. Alt mode, erm...i don't think so. but i guess there has to be a stopping point for merging TFA with Classics.
He's a cool toy, and if I were rich, I would have picked him up, but my Classics does not need a dump truck. If that toy was more like a box (G1), I would have picked him up.
I love Animated and Arcee but I do not put her in my classics collection. Her head is too big. I have a TRNS-01 Valkyrie coming in the mail so I am hoping that the size is good for classics. I have not seen many pictures of it yet but it looks possibly too small. I count Alternity Cliff and Bumblebee in my classics (usurping the actual classics) along with masterpiece Grimlock. The legends have been too hard for me to get as of yet.
