My grandfather was in the military, but not either of my parents. I'm going to pretend you're joking.
3rd generation Army brat. Grandfather fought in WWI, My dad is a vietnam vet, and my older brother is a recruiter in Hampton Roads, VA. My Army career was ended due to injury.
not parents, but my uncle John was among the last of the Canadian paratroopers, and my grandfather was one of the first four Canadians to fly the F104 Starfighter.
my grandfather and allhis brothers served in World War 2 , my uncle was in the navy and father was a marine and my stepdad was in the navy
More like spooned Father was drafted in Vietnam, two cousins that were marines, Grandfather and Grandmother officers in WWII, great uncle that was 101st in WWII, other family that served in one form or another, even a second cousin that was a SEAL in Nam, and have served myself, 4 years in 82nd Airborne.
Dad served 27 years in space command, older brother is currently in pilot training, future sister in-law is on her last year at USAFA, great uncle, grandpa's, and god-grandfather served in the Air Force during World War 2 as well.
She was a Lt. in the Air Force, a nurse. Actully that's why she met my Grandpa, he was a pilot, a Capt. and was in a crash that landed him in the hospital.
My Dad was drafted into Vietnam and my brother served in the Army for about four years. Luckily, neither of them saw duty. My brother severed some nerves in his shoulders during a rucksack march in CA, and my father wound up having leg surgery while stationed in Germany.
Both of my grandfathers were majors in the army, my dad was in the navy, his brother was an MP and so on.
My great-grandpa on my mom's side was in WWII and my grandpa on my dad's side parked bomber planes. 8D Parking planes is a serious job, people. Especially since he did it in Germany 40 years ago!
