A lot of the toys Hasbro revealed this weekend have third party equivalents. Which is the best in your opinion?

Which toys were the best? The Hasbro toys or the third party ones?

A - Orion is definitely better. He actually looks like IDW and isn't some disproportionate mess.

B - Azaela is better than the new Generations Arcee, but Delicate Warrior is better than Azaela.

C - None of the above. I prefer the red ultra Powerglide from Universe.

D - Smart Robin has a better looking jet mode, but Hasbro's is just so amazing in robot mode, so Hasbro wins.

    E & F - Don't like any of the options presented.

This is an odd poll. We all won.

Except that Hasbro Optimus. That hunk of crap lost badly.

Wow, the more I see of Hasbro's classics offering, year after year, the more content I am that I ditched that line four years ago to focus strictly on onscreen US G1 and Masterpieces only.

For G1 Arcee , I feel Hasbro did a great job. So she wins. Hasbros Bombshell an Brainstorm are both wins as well.

Nobody "won" because it isn't some idiotic competition. If you really want to get stupid about this, Transformers fans won because we have more than one option for certain characters, in varying price points.

*I* won because there's just no way I was paying third party prices for Arcee, Brainstorm, Bombshell and Megatron.

*I* won because I finally get to have a G1 robot form Megatron that turns into a tank.

*I* won because I now get to have an IDW-styled Brainstorm.

*I* won because I get to have a Arcee that transforms into her actual '86 old mode.

We didn't see anything new from 3rd parties. If the question is did hasbro outdo anything with what they revealed? I saw one head on one hasbro figure I like better- arcee. That's it.
I'm hoping we see some mp stuff today though.

Hasbro's Brainstorm is pure win in bot mode. Delicate Warrio is the most G1 and Azalea the best IDW style. Guess you could call the new Arcee "classics" but it is too much of a lazy shellformer.

The rest are all better in their 3P versions.

From that POV, yeah you are right. I guess we view this is a competition to try and justify whatever we pend on the toys. If we feel that 3rp or Hasbro "won" we comfort ourselves on the money e spent on them.

All third party for me. I do give hasbro for stepping their game up a little but it is far from how they used to do figure with Kup, Warpath, Jazz, Scourge, and Tracks. I would gladly pay $20 for a deluxe if they went back to doing those quality of figures again. But I did like their Powerglide attempt except for the legs and I liked Brainstorms headsculpt.

Little bit of bias in the poll. Most questions put one current Hasbro offering against multiple other 3p figures released over the last several years. I am already partial to 3ps but that seems to be stacking the odds in their favor.

I guess I was expecting "who won" to be who had the better showing at botcon. Both 3p and hasbro were weak this year IMHO. Given most of the 3p offerings were already revealed, I have to feel Hasbro had the better showing.

I guess it could be argued that 3ps should not expect to have great showings at botcon since it is mostly Hasbro's "show". For whatever reason, I seem to remember seeing more new 3p stuff at the last several botcons. This year seemed a little disappointing. Could be that we just have information from 3ps now.

Well, the Hasbro Brainstorm got the benefit of being last; after the IDW comic Brainstorm set the new modern looks. The other two versions were reinterpretations of the original so now they look very off, even if they have better transformations.

If Hasbro was making the better looking toys in every other case, then WE really would have "won". Hasbro prices beat the living shit out of the über expensive/overpriced 3Ps prices.

Hasbro: Arcee, Bombshell (FP's was close though), Powerglide, and Brainstorm
3P: Megatron (still getting the leader Megs though) and Optimus (duh)

Aside from Hasbro's Optimus, all reveals were awesome.

Any time Hasbro makes a good toy l feel like l won...and a lot of these seem to be good toys...l guess l'm saying a good toy beats out a good collectors item...because l've realized that l'm a collectors of toys...so long as Hasbro keeps making good toys l'm fine...

Hasbro wins all except for Optimius and Megatron. Hasbro wins because the stuff looks pretty good with a few flaws, but on the ones that aren't Megs I don't spend of $30, while the 3p stuff i never spend less than $30. That kills it

    But wow Brainstorm looks gret
