Wow, countries outside of North America are playing in a world Baseball tournament?

Whats next, an American car racing series where you actually need to steer in both directions to win?

USA but I have a soft spot for DR because of Vladdy, Bartolo, Pujols and Papi.

Call me Capt. Obvious, but I'll be rooting for team USA, because I'm American and that seems to be the point of the whole thing. It's not like football, where I'll find fans of the Cowboys and Steelers living in NY. It's like the Olympics - you are SUPPOSED to be rootin' for the home team here, even if it has no hope *cough*South Africa*cough*.

I don't take the whole thing that seriously - I love the idea of the WBC, and would love to see it continue, but I don't for a moment see it as anything more than an interesting All Star Game.

I will say, given the absolute love showered upon this game of games in Latin American coutries, I would be perfectly content to see DR, Venuzuala, PR etc take it.

    USA.

Im also in favor of the car racing where you need to steer in both directions, because car racing is boring.

Watched the two inaugeral games yesterday night... Both Asian teams that I'm following got beat... Chinese Taipei got shut out and China got TROUNCED... Both teams lack pitching and hitting... Which, in other words, mean they SUCK... China at has a bright future though if they develop the sport further and bring in the importance of trainers and strategy...

I gotta say China's uniforms look AWESOME... I am now looking for a team China cap!!!:rock
