As the title suggests, please vote your choices.

I have boycotted other films in the past, during a Transformers movie year. Not because the others were bad films, or that I didn't want to see them badly, but because I've viewed Transformers as the underdog, and wanted the franchise to succeed.

I understand that such dedication doesn't make that much of an overall impact in the B.O. - and I know that such pro-activity is on the verge of being extreme. But I prefer to vote with my valet!

 

I work at Regal so I get to see movies for free, so either way the studios aren't getting my money (except in merchandise, in which case TLK gets all of my money).

 

I won't.

But whatever, I think people should be free to boycott what they don't want. Vote with your wallet and all that.

 

I'll watch what I want. I don't see why anything should be boycotted. Also, I want pie.

 

You obviously don't know what what the term "boycott" actually means. More bluntly; this is hands down THE most banal thread and standpoint I've seen an over-the-top movie fan pull out in ages. Like, fucking seriously.  

 

of course I won't boycott other movies. GOTG2, POTC5, F&F8 and Logan are already on my must-see list.

"Boycott" is far too strong a word to use for a TF movie. If it was political, racial or religiously-fueled, I could see it, but simply based on a preference is kind of silly to be calling it a boycott.

Will I see TLK? No, at least not in the theaters. I didn't really like any of the TF movies, but when it's available in a cheaper format, I'll see it eventually.

 

I appreciate all of your responses thus far (I may not like all of them)! Well, if the term seems too strong, you can substitute it with "avoid". Boycott works for me in the context -- no, I will not take to the streets, with my message, but I did make this thread/poll.

 

There are movies I will avoid because I just don't care to watch them. TLK is not among them.

I don't get much opportunity to hit the cinema these days. Basically i'll always go to watch the Transformers, Star Wars, tentpole Marvel, and Doremon movies that happen to be showing. I'm gonna try and hit Power Rangers too, maybe because i want to see how the Japanese audience react to it!  

 

Where's the "Boycott TF5" option?

You're using the term boycott too literally...

 

The idea of boycotting other films in favor of Transformers is just stupid. Why would I deny myself other films for another one? Miss Star Wars 8, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor 3? Hell no. You are going to have to convince hundreds of thousands or even millions to do this to even have any effect on the box office. Not going to happen.

Have fun missing out on the fun of all other films just so Transformers can have an additional $10.

 

I would never ask anyone to do something against their will -- the point of this thread is to find out where members stand on this. I'll go see TLK multiple times, just like I did with the previous films. so they're getting more than just $10 out of me  

 

Hahahahaha no. I'm not going to deprive myself of watching movies I want to see just so that a billion-dollar media franchise can hopefully say it made slightly more money in theatres than other billion-dollar media franchises.

 

While TLk is the film I want to see this year most, I also will be checking out Logan, GOTG2, and SW VIII. I don't boycott movies; I just see the ones I want to see.
