But Dino can [probably will] return for the sequel, Shockwave won't.

But I still think Shockwave was awesome on DOTM, Drillin' around beyatch.

 

Devastator and the Constructicons. Would have been cool but just ended up being typical Deceptidrones and there was barely any point of Devastator actually being there.

 

1.shockwave:hyped up to be the big badass main villian,but ended up being in like 4min of the flim
2.megatron:was basically the bitch of the main villian in ROTF and DOTM
3.devastator:could have been something that can really eff some stuff up when really all he did was suck up stuff as hard as a pornstar,went rock climbing,then got blown up by the navy
4.jolt:was used to promote a car
5.wheeljaQ:could have been a really cool scientist,but ended being a useless background character.
6.RATCHET:could have been a badass medic,but olny had like 8min of screen time total in ALL THREE MOVIES

 

Jolt.

 

Driller (DOTM) - The building sequence is neat, but in its place could have been more Shockwave or more Decepticons/Autobot battles. The money spent on it was a waste to me.

Shockwave (DOTM) - Just not even close to coming across as a real threat, thanks to the driller and Shockwave's over all lack of screen time. He was just promoted as red herring in this movie to distract people from figuring Sentinel out.

Devastator (ROTF) - Same principle as the Driller.

Egypt explosions (ROTF) - Actual fight scenes with the Transformers should have been inserted into it. It's one long, meandering mess, with the exception of Bee vs. Rampage and Ravage.

Skids/Mudflap (ROTF) - on the go with Bumblebee and Sam and Co. Should have been Ironhide and Sideswipe. Or basically two of the other main Autobots. 'Swipe and 'Hide are my biased preference. Too much time with two that were basically there for comedy relief and nothing else.

And, finally:

Optimus Prime's death (ROTF) - This was a perfect time to let the other main Autobots shine, like Ironhide, Ratchet, Bee, Sideswipe...........and we got nothing because we spent the whole time with the Egypt comedy crew. I wouldn't have resurrected Prime until the 3rd movie.

Ironhide's death (DOTM) - Not even a mention of him after it happens, let alone anyone mourning him, so that negates the whole idea of killing the character off for emotional impact in terms of character and story. It comes across as only being done for shock value and gave the character no respect. Then we got the Witwicky family meeting afterward to further prove how Bay doesn't know how to do characters/story.

 

Also that garbage truck man(Dumper?) and Cloverfield 'con.

This. I went in hoping I would like the Driller, but I ended up hating it. It was entirely too big. Lord knows how many hours were devoted to animating the bloody thing, and it never even got a proper name. Not to mention it went down far too easily. Optimus puts a few bullets in it and the thing just explodes. Riiiight.

This, but that goes without saying.

OH GOD THIS!

Ironhide's death itself didn't bother me much, but it completely pissed me off that they didn't acknowledge it! I'm not asking for a funeral pyre, although that would have been wonderful. ONE LINE from Optimus acknowledging the loss of his oldest friend would have sufficed. But instead, we are treated to Sam's parents talking about private parts ONCE AGAIN!!! God, I despise them.

Also, Jerry Wang, who supplied the latest round of crude humor. I'm so glad Laserbeak killed him.

Finally there's Que, also known as the new Jolt. Like Jolt, we only see his alt-mode for a few seconds. We also never see him transform, he has all of three lines, he adds nothing to the story except more explosions, and he is really just there to get killed. How pointless.

At the end of the movie, I honestly forgot Ironhide even died. It wasn't until I got home (I mean stumbled home from being so effin' dizzy from the last hour) and saw my Burger King Ironhide toy that I went "oh shit, that's right, he bought the farm."

 

I think shockwave was underused but then again he had the same issue in the G1 cartoon. (the g1 comics are a different story).

 

Shockwave and Devastator. Jolt and Ratchet. And the Fallen. and all the Decepticons.

In a way it was the story but I would have liked to have seen 1 Autobot try to take him down and get wiped out showing why it needed a Prime to take him on.

DOTM: Megatron. Why was he even in the story? He was reduced to rusty pile of scrap. Then Carly calls him a bitch and Prime kills him? WTF?

What a waste of an iconic villian... TF Prime is really doing him justice...

ROTF: The Twins.

I'm all for a few laughs. But the urban sterotypes when cool for like two seconds of dialog. After that I simply missed Bumblebee...

Seriously not that many mentions of The Fallen? He was a complete bitch! He got a lot build up before, and during the movie ("Only a Prime can defeat me") and barely did anything at all! At least it took a lot to take Shockwave down, The Fallen got 2 entire hits in the entire fight before his face was taken. The bad thing is I like the character, his backstory, and design, but he was severly underused when he was physically present.
