So I've finished my 86' crew Autobot shelf to my satisfaction. That one is fairly straightforward. The only ones I'm missing are Grimlock and Blaster, but I'm not a huge fan of them so I don't mind. Maybe I'll add them later though. The Autobots I've got represented are: Hot Rod/Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Arcee, Perceptor, Wheelie, Wreck'Gar, Blurr, Kup Where I'm having trouble is who are the iconic Decepticons of the movie and season 3 for the bad guy shelf? So far I have: Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Sharkticon... The forces are a little lopsided right now. So who else is synonymous with 86'/S3 on the evil side of things? EDIT: I see the thread was moved to Toy discussion. That's alright. I just wasn't sure where to put it because even though, yes I'm asking about my toy shelf, the question is more about who are the iconic Decepticons from the movie/S3 because they aren't as apparent as the good guys.
Octane. Trypticon if you can afford him. Ratbat. I also put the Stunticons and Combaticons there because they were 1986 toys. That's where the Predacons will go too when I get them.
Octane is a good choice. He also happens to be one of my top five favorite characters. He's on the list!
An original 1986 arcee action figure still in the box! Don't forget the battlechargers and the s3 soundwaves cassettes slugfest and overkill as well as sixshot if you want to add season 4 to it. Also more then one scourge count as sweeps and a second cyclonus counts as armada!
My absolute favorite thing about the Takara Legends releases of Scourge and Gnaw is that Gnaw comes with a Sweep Headmaster. So if you're building an army of Sharkticons and Sweeps, for every Shark you buy you get to replace the head on a Scourge and make him a Sweep.
The Quintessons will be a good addition once they come out in Earthrise. I've got the Cyberverse one now and it's ok, but I'm waiting for the Earthrise reveals to buy 3.
The only other I can recommend is some Sweeps. For autobots, I must say, Siege Impactor fits really well with 86 bots.

This is who I have on my movie/Season 3 Decepticon shelf, looking forward to the upcoming Snapdragon to finish off the shelf. If I had more room I would have added Trypticon, Terrorcons and the Predacons.
What cannon does swindle have and what skuzzxoid is that? Never knew there was ever a figure of him, not even 3p.
I got Swindle's cannon and the other Combaticon weapons from Renderform and the Skuxxoid was 3D printed (Glossy Full Color Sandstone material) from Tecrom Designs on shapeways.com, he also has a Slizzardo and a Primacron as well as others. Hope that helps!
He has indeed! I bought an additional one to display as Punch on the Season 3 Autobot shelf. Hard to spot but I also have a KO Ghost Henkei Starscream back there in the Season 3 Decepticon display.
