So if the previous Movie lines are anything to go on we should get three possibly four Leader Class figures. Who are you guys hoping for?

I think it's relatively safe to say we will get a new Optimus and if that voyager is anything to go off of it could be pretty good. Maybe they've figured a way to reduce the back kibble. I mean other than that I actually quite liked the AoE Leader Optimus.

So other than Optimus, my top pick would be Hound (with lots of guns) because I just LOVE him. Not sure how likely that is.

Also I'd hope for Megatron to get a new Leader Class and hopefully they would pull out all the stops to do him justice.

And it's difficult to say but I'd suspect the dragon/hydra creature may get a leader class or perhaps even bigger (Supreme? Ultimate? Titan?) if they think it would sell.

Onslaught would be a long shot IMO.

    True.

But unless they really are just done with cons forever (they said they were, but there have been quite a few in the present main line), I think the new Megatron is almost a given. A new pass at Prime is likely as well- but remember the amazing ROTF Prime mold was created to interact with Jetfire as opposed to being just because they could improve him.

At least a Megatron. That'd be nice.

Wait, what? When was that said? That seems like it'd be pretty huge news if true.

I remember hearing this around the time DOTM came out. I'm not sure of the original source but as I recall supposedly someone at Hasbro commented that the Decepticons didn't sell as well and sales couldn't justify producing a leader class toy. Now based on AoE that seemed to be true, but at the same time they've released several G1 based Leader Class Decepticons. I know us collectors play a part but I just don't see how we could make up sales enough to justify Leader Class toys when a movie based line can't? Seems strange to me.

And I will add I have two boys who were very disappointed there were not larger scale offerings of several of the movie Decepticons.

So yeah, I just don't get it.

We don't know the entire cast for sure, true. But from the news videos and such I've been following on YouTube and looking at the confirmed characters and vehicles identified on set as likely bots, there are only a few contenders (we know of) for larger scale toys.

    Optimus
    Megatron
    Dragon
    Onslaught
    Hound
Any of the returning AoE Dinobots
VW Van (likely voyager at most)

I'm assuming as previously most of the cars will be deluxes in the main line.

On the plus side there, with the newer leaders being so much smaller, and the previous leader BB being on the small side for the scale then it's possible a new leader BB could actually pass for HA scale.

    None the less- :puke2:

Hound could actually be quite funny since indications are the bot design has changed very little. The OS WeiJiang that just cam out is probably pretty close in size to what a leader class would be (unless they start increasing the size again). I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the pretty much amazing WeiJiang Hound ended up being superior to what Hasbro would give us. :lolol

Come on Hasbro, prove me wrong. I'd love to eat my words here.

It's a KO. It'll be a little over 8" tall (so maybe a half inch shorter than the AOE leaders). Most of the AOE toys were KO'd, and upscaled. Many of us think the better KO's actually exceeded the quality of the Hasbro releases.

Wei Jiang however has taken it to a whole other level with this guy and Evasion Prime. Both are heavily retooled and hands down superior to the originals.

    Here's Hound's thread:
    KO OS Hound

The Hound shown next to him in the comparisons is the old oversize from a year or two back. This one was just released within the last week or so.

EDIT: If this thread devolves into a full on conversation about the Wei Jiang KO's I'm sure the mods will be unhappy. If you're intrigued ask about it in the Hound thread I linked.

Sadly just Optimus and Bumblebee are the most likely.

Onslaught would be a great candidate and if Dragon = Megatron then i would like a kickass leader of it.

Also, Dragon looks so huge maybe even something like a Stomp'N Chomp Dragon will appear.

Optimus will most likely get a leader class figure.
I'd like to see Megatron get one as well. And if the dragon isn't megatron, one for that as well.
We also need retroactive leader class figures for dotm megatron and aoe galvatron.

I've got the OS KO Weijang Hound on the way, don't need a leader from Hasbro. How bout a better Galvatron and whatever this new Megs is supposed to be and Onslaught.

A leader Galvatron is a long shot. I halfway suspect they won't even bother to mention in the movie how Galvatron goes back to being Megatron.
