We need a physical release of RiD01. We can't pirate it forever. Though, from my understanding, the show is in ownership limbo. What we know so far is that Hasbro imported it from Japan, where it was part of the G1 continuity as Car Robots. No edits were made to the show itself initially besides the vocal tracks, but after 9/11, several episodes had to be edited. Saban Entertainment was given the license to dub it, and dubbed it over for Hasbro. That's when it presumably became RiD. Haim Saban sold Saban Entertainment to Disney circa July/August 2001. The entire Saban library, including RiD01, Power Rangers, and Digimon was included in the sale. Saban would get rebranded ca. October 2001 by Disney. The name was then changed to BVS Entertainment. Sensation Entertainment would be formed around this time, to help take up the job that Saban Entertainment did, which was dubbing. Sensation would be shut down shortly after Disney lost the Digimon license. In 2010, Saban was reformed by Mr. Saban under a new name as Saban Brands. He bought back Power Rangers and Digimon. We have no idea if RiD01 was part of this deal. This past year (2018), Saban sold Power Rangers and several other properties to Hasbro. We have no idea if RiD01 was part of this deal either. That begs the question... Who owns RiD01? Is it Disney? Is it Saban? Or is it Hasbro?
