I am just going to wait for the inevitable Premium figures...Leader Prime/Jetfire combiner two-pack...and the G1 repaints of all the Constructicons.....

I didnt buy any premium figures in the last line.

My list isnt changing so far. I'll get sideswipe, leader prime, leader megatron, the fallen, sideways. they all look fine, and I cant see any way for them to be improved.

also, I never saw a single premium toy that didnt have some kind of really annoying paint problems. so I never felt bad about passing on a single one.

not getting one movie toy...not one....

 

I am going to try to resist the temptation. I bought way too many toys from the '07 movie. Need to spend my money on better things! However, I'm tempted to ebay my leader prime and megatron from the first movie to pick up the new versions.

 

need.... toys.... now!!!! they're too awesome, ill prbly be suckered into buying some i already have too lol

 

I'm buying two, max. Bludgeon and (possibly) Ravage.

 

I'm buying them all!!! I want to spread them out on the floor and roll in their sweet plasticy goodess!!!!!! AAAAAGHHHH!!!!

 

Just going to get Superion and maybe Bruticus (hoping FP or someone else makes an add on kit). Otherwise I'm not buying any movie toys - don't like the way they look and don't have room for them.

I will spend $ to go see ROTF though.

 

I didn't get any Movie 1 toys (well, except for that '74 camaro Bumblebee, which was a dissappointment), and I'm sure I won't be tempted to get any Movie 2 toys too.

The aesthetics of the Movie toys do not blend well with my classics or animated collection. If I were to get Movie toys, I'd like to get a whole lot of them to display together....nah.

I'll just use that money to get other Fansproject's releases which blends better with my collection.

 

Now is absolutely beyond the shadow of a doubt the time to be bolstering your vintage figure collection. Give it enough time and the new movie stuff will be on clearance somewhere.

However, with the collectibles market in a black hole at the moment, buyers have it made when it comes to vintage toys. Take the money you were going to spend on ROTF stuff and put it towards your vintage collection!

 

Some of the ROTF figures are decent, but its still not my thing. I'm gonna catch up on my Henkei figs and hopefully some other past stuff.

 

I'll buy leader Prime and Sideswipe. Maybe the Bumblebee with the Sam figure. Devastator only they release a version with all the individual bots mods as well as the combined form.

The rest of my money is going towards FansProject stuff and Encore Tapes (to go with my classics)!

 

I wants Scalpel and maybe the individual Constructicons. But Scalpel is a must.

 

I only bought about 5 or 6 figures from the first movie line. The movie toys just really don't interest me.

It's not a matter of being "suckered" or not, I'm just not that interested.

 

I would like to buy one of every character who appears in the movie, but if there are really going to be 40 robots I don't know how that will turn out. Of course, that could include a bunch of characters that are there just to get slagged, and I could pass on those. As for premiums, I didn't really think the premium line from the first movie was THAT big of an upgrade for most of the figures. The only two I thought it improved a lot were Leader Megs and Barricade.

That being said, as of right now I see myself picking up:
Leader Prime
Deluxe Preview Bumblebee (I have Stealth Bee, but i want an accurate one)
Sideswipe
The twins
Leader Jetfire
Voyager Megatron
The Voyager/Deluxe Constructicons
Sideways
Voyager The Fallen
Voyager Starscream

Ones I might pick up:
Human Alliance Bumblebee/Ironhide/etc. (Need to see if they are worth it)
Voyager Ironhide (Need a movie accurate Ironhide, but guns aside I think the premium version of the first movie IH looks better)
Voyager Ratchet (Again, I have the RR version, so I kind of want an accurate one)
Leader Megatron (Kind of want him to match Leader Prime, but the Voyager just looks better)

 

Not planning on going crazy with some of thee new movie toys, and I'm not gonna wait around for the 'what if, could have' mumbo jumbo with premiums and repaints and all that. I'm planning on going hardcore on leader Prime, Jetfire, Ramjet/Skywarp repaints, Chromia and the rest of the sisters and Sideways. That'll do for me.
