I did, because I didn't like the way his face was painted (too much black). So i decided to paint his nose and chins alu-silver and his jaw bronze.
He now looks more aggressive and the contrast has been increased.
Also painted many areas into bronze and some inner parts on his chest in black.
Now can finally display him along with my leader class Optimus Prime 1on1 =)

Theres a button that says 'Insert Image'. You need to upload it to something like Photobucket first.

I will once I get one. Too much awesome potential in that mold going to waste with the lack of details painted on.

I like the black, but against the blue/silver, it stuck out...

So I painted his entire head dark silver, and then the rest of him.

I'm a little squemish about painting a $40 figure. I don't like his paint but I can deal with it much better than a $40 pile of trash if I screwed up! :)

I'm in the process of repainting him. I've given him a full-body (head to foot) repaint with chrome silver, and now I'm working on detailing him and whatnot.

In fact, I've been repainting all of the movie character toys to make them as movie-accurate as possible. I've finished Leader-class Optimus, Scorponok, Barricade, Jazz, Ratchet, and Ironhide, and I'm almost done with Bonecrusher. Bumblebee (both 74 and 08 versions) are on deck, and then I'll be doing Blackout.

here are my pics finally =)

Hope you like them. I modified the paintjob of my Megatron decently, so the main appeareance wouldn't be altered too much. [IMG]

I did. Like him so much better now. I did a full repaint, giving him a more worn out metal look. It's amazing how just a little bit of paint to all the movie figures can really help them out. I've painted all my figures except Starscream and still working on my 08 Bumblebee.

If you are ever able to, it'd be cool to see pics of what you did. It's always cool to see how other people tackle Megatron repaints.

That looks amazing man. Which paint did you use?

I like the platinum-ish fade you have more than the chrome jobs

Used some testors silver acrylic paint. I first painted him black then went over it with silver, slightly drybrushed in some areas to make him a bit more gritty like he was in the film.
