We know galvatron or unicron won't be in TF4 if there's ever gonna be one. I think it would be cool to have him as the leader. Who else agree's with me?

I do and I don't. I do because a live-action Straxus would be epic, but most people would have no clue, and I feel such obscurity for the main villain would hurt the movie's reception. Everyone knows who Megatron is just from the name alone. But Straxus, it's a unique name but nobody would get it.

 

Why Straxus? With the "success" of the movie-verse, it would be the perfect environment to test-out brand new characters. If we have to endure a fourth one of these "movies", than I would prefer them to at least attempt some new things with it.

It's because it would come off as repetitive. They already resurrected Megatron once and they killed him again. At this point, it would seem like a joke that Megatron never stays dead in the movies. It's like Megatron was negotiating with script writers when he asked for a truce and said "Who would you be without me?" Seriously, it is time to find out and it's a good time to introduce new characters that you've all wanted to see on the big screen. Look at it this way; the Iron Man comics always came off as silly to me and I didn't like them. Now Iron Man is my favorite superhero and the Iron Man movies are in my top 10 favorites.

 

Galvatron doesn't have to be a ressurected Megatron. I'd actually prefer it if he was either a brand new guy that homaged G1 Galvatron or a crazy frankenstein Decepticon made from killed Decepticons.

 

Might as well. Who else is there left to choose from?

Although it'd be pretty pointless if they had to use a substitute name for the guy.

I had no idea who the hell this "Fallen" guy was going into ROTF, but that didn't hurt the movie for me. IMO, I think it was actually better not knowing who he was, because that then allowed me to get a look into a part of Transformers mythos that I wasn't that familiar with.

Agree with this. Megatron has died twice now in the movies, we don't need to revive him and do it again.

 

Who the hell said Galvatron can't be used? Look, I like the idea of introducing a new and different character from the lore, but I think Galvatron is also a big name that people may know. And he is, half the time, the new Decepticon commander in every Transformers TV show.

Introduction scene: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have finished fighting a group of Decepticons, and they call for pickup. A dropship swoops down and Straxus leaps down. He strikes the ground with his fist in a big shockwave, holding a gigantic pickaxe in his other hand. He is looking down at the ground, with the camera focused on the top of his head.
"Mercy is not dispensed here fools."
He dramatically looks up, his eyes glowing red. "Only death!"

 

As long as he does more than growl and ride a fucking earthworm cybertron style...he has my vote...that character was an EPIC FUCKING WASTE!

As much as I'm a fan of Straxus from G1... No...

The movies are over-rated in terms of the acting, drama scenes, and the only merits are the fight scenes or the human soldiers that do the actual fighting.

And didn't Cybertron get destroyed at the end of DOTM?

Straxus wouldn't look anything familiar to the Straxus we knew. With Megatron being a giant fucking firearm that's a flying vehicle at the same time then a firearm mounted to a tank, along with his recognizable silver and Shockwave with his one eye and gun hand, at least those were recognizable traits.

And there's not going to be a fourth movie from what's been released.
