I'm not (or at least, I'm not going to my country's equivalent of the midnight showing). As much as I'm dying to see this movie, I can already tell most people that will go to these screenings will be the hardcore fans..and to be honest, I don't really want people to start cheering or clapping with every fanwank that pops up on the screen...it's annoying and takes me out of the movie.. I'd rather go see it two or three days after, and preferrably not in the weekend..slightly more quiet then.
Im sure as bullshit gonna be clapping my ass off! I went to see Star Treak and when the ROTF trailer came on, I stood up and started cheering and clapping!
That's good for you. I was watching The Dark Knight the other day and behind me were two girls that kept talking and even SINGING throughout the whole movie. The movie is doing so hard to build up tension or excitement only to have it ruined by people that feel the need to yell through it. It's my biggest pain with watching movies..but I DO want to see them in the theatre because of the epic scale.
i can't do it for the premirre sadly as my local theater doesn't do midnight runs so ill have to wait til later to see it maybe a day or so after it opens
God, I hate when that happens. I remember watching Gran Torino and these chicks were talking throughout the entire movie. I eventually had enough and in my most polite voice I asked them if they could "please shut the fuck up."
