Now that info is rolling in, I just thought I'd make some kind of list of who we might be seeing the death of in ROTF. Feel free to speculate, and voice opinions about who should and shouldn't go. And if how they do go is appropriate.

Decepticons
- The Fallen: Killed by Optimus Prime at the pyramid in the finale.
- Blackout - Killed by Prime during the fight shown in the trailer.
- Scorponok - Killed by Jetfire in Egypt.
- The Doctor - Destroyed during torture scene.
- Devastator (which would include all combining CC's?) - destroyed by experimental railgun fired from Navy ship.
- Sideways - Killed by Sideswipe in China
- Demolishor - If he's not part of Devy, then he's killed early in China? Prime and Ironhide team up for this one apparently.

Autobots
- Jetfire - sacrifices his spark and body to save Prime.

-I'm not sure about Arcee. Aside from Bay's comment, which could be misinformation as far as we know, we haven't heard anything storywise mentioning that as far as I know.
-Megatron and Starscream escape. Soundwave still lives.

Most of this is from the novels, so keep in mind some details can vary from the actual movie. I think this was the case last time? Anyway, discuss!

 

I read somewere about a WWI biplane transformer that Jetfire kills. Does he appears in the novel?

 

Yeah. But Jetfire kills him.

 

Yes, that's from the novel. I think he was one of the other Seekers? I'd guess he'd count as a Decepticon. Wonder if that scene is actually in the movie, cause if so, Ransack is an on-screen character.

Looks like once again the Decepticons are a bunch of jobbers that couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. And just what we needed humans killing off Devastator to prove humans are the most powerful thing in the universe.

me too! And Devi gets killed by humans?? WTF? Why are the Autobots even there then? If that's the case, I think Bay should suffer the same fate as Devi does, only in real life. F'n BAY-HOLE! I've never had so much dis-like for someone I've never even met in my life! Angry mob + Micheal Bay's front yard = ROTF (revenge of the fans!)

 

Yeah - it doesn't matter how huge and massive a Decepticon is. You just have to shoot it in the crotch and it dies.

Good thing the human military is there to show Autobots how it's done

Considering the bulk of the 'Cons are basically primal animals compared to the organized Autobots I can see why they're easily picked off.

And we will just have to wait until the movie to see if Devastator is killed or just broken apart.


At least they weren't killed by the common cold.

 

Bet anyone 50 dollars optimus dies in ROTF.

Didn't the novel say it was skids who was sucked into devy's mouth, NOT MUDFLAP? and the novel didn't even mention Barricade or Jolt. Sound's to me the novel really can't be trusted with who dies because certain details are left out or forgotten. This is the list of bots I think might die die : Prime, Barricade , Sideways, Ironhide or Sideswipe (Either of them since they are the fighters.), some arcee bots probably, Blackout and The Fallen.

Ya know, im just a bit surprised prime doesnt die in this one, since he died in the 80's movie, but then again that caused living hell for children and fans back then, so i guess its understandable.
