I've always loved white sports cars. And Cliffjumper was always a cool character. I'd love to buy one of these rare colored Cliff's, but I don't want to over pay for a figure.
Is this an average/fair/good price for a MOSC G1 "white" Cliffjumper?
Transformers G1 CLIFFJUMPER White ANTEX New MOSC Sealed - eBay (item 390223418523 end time Aug-31-10 16:30:41 PDT)
Yea, I know I can take a cheap re-issued red Cliffjumper and repaint him white, but two problems.
    A: I want something that's genuine.
B: My painting skills lack severely. Still old-fashioned rattle-can user.
C: My paint finish will has never look as good as factory.

So what do you think? Worth the money? Are these easy to come by? I know their rare, but how rare are they?

As long as it is worth it to you, I'd say jump. I've paid more for less.

IMO that's WAY too much to pay for a Minibot, rare or not. But hey, worth is all relative. If you're satisfied paying that much by all means go for it.

Yes I know that. I'm just wondering what's an average price for these rare ones. Under $100 seems reasonable.

Like they said- if you want it and you can afford it, go for it.

Now, about that rattle can thing...

Don't knock it. If you tape things up properly (which you should do no matter how you apply paint)- that'll serve you just fine.

    :p

So if it's overpriced, what price should they be? Where would one find them at reasonable price?

I've used white Krylon Fusion when repainting Transformers and it's worked rather nicely. It goes on smooth and adheres to plastic surfaces much better than standard spray paints. You can save yourself the $100 and DIY. Just practice on a junker or KO until you get good enough to repaint a G1 Cliffjumper. That will at least eliminate 2 of your cons.

I've seen Antex figures sell for 1/2 of that, but not a white cliffjumper. Also, i usually don't pay too much attention/watch auctions too closely b/c its not my cup of tea.

However, here is a link to auctions on ebay right now, you might also want to check completed listings?

as an addendum to my last post, there is a green cliffjumper up there for $30, so unless the white one is super rare, i'd say its overpriced.

I got mine mabey a year ago and efreddy only had the two windchargers listed and I asked about the others and bought them outside of ebay.

Toyhell also has them for $25 a pop

Ill get his ebay username soon as I am home from work
