There’s been quite a lot of mix-n-match within Transformers over the years. Some traits are taken from some Transformers and incorporated into other Transformers. For instance, TFA Blackarachnia is based on Optimus Prime’s female partner Elita-1, in fact having had that name before she ended up abandoned in a spider colony. A lot more of revising characters with different traits has happened within Bayformers, in fact I think it has done more of this than any other continuity. So which character would you say got the best revision?

Bumblebee - Bumblebee may as well be named Rodimus Prime, after having led the Autobots for some time between AOE and DOTM. Also he’s a young hothead like Rodimus was when he was Hot Rod.

Jetfire – my favourite and my vote. The incorporation of old man Kup and Brit Sky-Lynx paid off really well IMO, making him the equivalent of those weird but lovable British brigadiers.

Wheelie – he’s a ratty Brooklyn-talking Transformer scout on wheels. I would say that was better than him talking in rhyme, though not by much.

Sentinel Prime – The commander of the Autobots before Optimus Prime. Complete with the wisdom, technology and beard of Alpha Trion. Shame he went nuts and tried to enslave Earth...

Hound – He looks like Bulkhead and smokes like Kup. But that doesn’t take away from his awesomeness.

Galvatron – this would be my runner-up. Megatron rebuilt as an intended Optimus clone with a black repaint, it’s an origin that is original and a tribute to Galvatron (as well as Nemesis Prime and Motormaster).

Bumblebee. I'm serious, Age of Extinction made him more of a character even with the radio voice.

Slag, I forgot that gimmick came from Wreck-Gar!

But yes, it was used very well in the film, I thought. I especially enjoyed the MC Hammer tune he played when he smashed down the Stinger model.
