For, me it would be Maketoys Starscream, simply due to the fact that the figure is really flimsy, and other than a single comment on YouTube nobody I've seen so far have mentioned this fact. But despite this the figure is still good, but not as great as people are putting it up to be, and the figure is FAR better than MP-11, but that's just my opinion.

MMC Tarn and Fanstoys Reflector. I do think the Tarn mold itself is good but Tarn should be more intimidating. Fanstoys Reflector is... fine. It's fine. I sold it and bought the KFC version and was much happier. I think it's far more interesting on a shelf.

Toyworld Constructor. So many QC issues and so many people diving for the repaints. It's like Toyworld is just dying their half cocaine half baking soda blend with food coloring and people are thinking it's Walter Whites Meth.

Fanstoys Roadking. He's nice but he's basically a shellformer, scrunched up robot hidden underneath a bunch of panels. Nothing wrong with that, until people put it on par with splitting the atom

FT Tesla! Garbage didn’t sell for $85 then clowns saw that FT makes heavy bots and all of a sudden dick heads want $200 plus for that pos with the cracking plastic. Laughable!! Also MMC Jaguar. Bitch please. Mediocre at best.

    BTW welcome to the boards

I agree with you on Tesla. I own it. It fills a hole, so to speak, but that about it. I'd love a new Perceptor. I have nothing to back this up but I feel like MMC would do a good job in their reformatted line with him.

I disagree on Jaguar, I dig him.

I think is the fact that is an "all inclusive" trailer packed in there that amazes. Yeah, it shelforms to hell, lol.

As far as the OP question:

    Sovereign.

I simply fail to see what it does that amazes people that much.

    Constructor and Phoenix.

Both really good. Not amazing to me.

I just didn’t like the tape mode. Also how his neck was split in half. Torso is wonky and he can’t look up. I agree he looks good til you try and get a nice pose from him

This. I bought it because of all the praise and hype. Once in hand I was underwhelmed and sold it.

I get ya, I think those are all valid criticisms but I also think he's better than the sum of his parts.

I actually just took him down off the shelf just to double check.

MT's budget-based Seekers are a good choice. Also:

DX9 Powerglide - Cheap plastic feel, little or no painted detail, very basic and not in a good way. One of the least-good figures in my collection.

FT Tesla - Crap materials, loose joints, ugly face, CHUGly greebled surfaces.

MMC's all-in-one quasi-MP combiners. Wish they'd use that budget for the things they do well and we could get those things sooner.

    If this wasn't limited to 3P, I'd include MP-44.

iirc, flip the neck pieces 180 degrees and he can look up as much as any large feline can. He does some fantastic poses. One of my favourite MPs and one of the last figures I'd part with if/when I sell my collection one day.

FT Dinobots. They went after the toy look and are very serviceable. BUT I would love someone to make ones that look like the cartoon. Grey/White/Yellow

MMC's Bruticus. In the beginning I was WOWED. Now, it just seems like another one of those "we've made some sacrifices for a gimmick", and the result is not even convincing.

MMC Tarn. The transformation should really be more involved than that and that alt mode is just meh. Great looking bot mode though. When you are outshined by your buddy Kaon, it really says a lot.

FT Insecticons. Look at the crazy prices. They are GOOD figures, but at the same time the back of the figures would often be messy, and I mean, have you looked at the crazy prices. Totally NOT worth it.

MMC Arcee. Too small. There's no doubting that the transformation is easier compared to FT Arcee, but when I put her side to side with MMC Saltus (which I recently acquired and am REALLY LIKING), I am like, yeah this is too small and there's something off with her look.

FansHobby Overlord. He looks great and his transformation is fun, but it's hard to get him standing properly. Like isn't that a basic function?

Most FT figures. Don’t get me wrong, some have been great, but most of them have a cult like following despite the figure being meh for the price.

I don't think any figures are overrated here. Anytime anyone says they like anything at least double that many people then chime in to say how shit it is.
