Wow if a fan directed this as a big movie release in a theater this will not turn out very good. Who are you trying to get to see it fans? Audiences? Both? Will general audiences know wtf is going on. This is why any studio doesnt do a full movie based on a comic story line or a tv show episode. Movies are meant to bring in new fans.

Besides if a fan directed it a non experience director here sure the movie could be good but you have a higher chance of the movie being a box office flop.

I honestly can't say I want any existing stories to be adapted into movies. I don't think Transformers movies need to borrow storylines from existing media, I don't really want it to be like Marvel where they feel like they have to do a bunch of "greatest hits" in live-action form. Because you know the basic beats of what's going to happen. Plus, those stories have already been told (and maybe better than a movie could do them). Taking some inspiration here or there is fine, but I'd prefer they create new stories and adventures for the characters. If I want to see an existing story, I'll just go back and watch that cartoon or read that comic. Interestingly enough, Dark of the Moon borrows most heavily from existing stories and that's my least-favorite film.

If I had to pick stories for the filmmakers to adapt, I'd probably go with some random G1 episodes. Not even the big epic "event" ones like the movie or Five Faces of Darkness. It could be fun to see an episode like "Prime Problem" or "City of Steel" adapted into a movie. Just some adventure-of-the-week-style story.

Which new comic? They come out with a new G1 flavored comic so often I lose track.

I wouldn't adapt any single story straight-up, so much as use one as a framework and cherry-pick pieces of other stories to put in where appropriate.

For example, if it were up to me, "Bumblebee 2" would be loosely adapted from issues 5-8 of the Marvel US book, the most obvious change being to switch out Ratchet for 'Bee as the main Autobot character. But I wouldn't stop there: Megatron would be the main big bad of the story, and his involvement would have more in common with the Timelines "Classics" and Animated incarnations of the character (meaning, not only has he been already on Earth for quite some time, he's also been functioning behind the scenes during that time), while the Dinobots, particularly Grimlock, would have traces of Dreamwave and Aligned in their systems (i.e. former 'Cons who tried to overthrow Megatron, got their ^$$es handed to Shockwave to have "fun" with, and ultimately hijacked the Alchemor - with a bunch of other 'experiments' of Shockwave's in stasis pods as a potential sequel set-up - and tailed Megatron to Earth to pay him back). Other elements would be gutted as necessary just because as it is the original storyline has far too much in it (like Buster's Creation Matrix drama, for one...I'd be more interested in exploring the impact the TFs have on different human protagonists as suits the new take).

None of the above. Every adaptation regardless of franchise cuts things out, out of necessity. We like all the stories you listed because of how they were told in their original medium.

Wreckers story or Lost Light story or whatever else? Sure. But just translating the comics into a movie? No thanks.

I don't care what it is as long as they cut off the Bumblebee story and/or aesthetic

You mean the movie that saved the Movieverse after TLK nearly caused Paramount to tank?

Nah, the one that was the story of a basket case who had an eponymous pet VW Beetle that was chased by two identical muscle cars and a fighter jet, I think we got enough of that

Funny, I thought they were the same thing.

Amazing, isn't it? How people will talk about objectively successful and well-received things as if they were the worst things ever.
