I've noticed of late a growing collection of Transformer novels at a large pop culture store i go to. I would love to grab some to read, but I don't wanna end up buying something i'm not gonna like reading (has happened twice already with some certain 'AvP' books). You guys have any recommendations?
Avoid "Hardwired" AT ANY COST. Worse than terrible fan fiction. I swore off TF novels after that, so I can't speak for the others.
I got about 40% through the prequel novel then gave up. Never felt the need to get the movie 'adaptation' given they're by the same author.
The hardwired trilogy wasn't that bad. True it lacked in many areas but all in all I thought it was worth a read. It kinda gave you a look at how some bot would act in different situation and showed us how the goverment would be if they found transformer technology. Also they left it open at the end for more books if they so choose
Are you talking graphic novels, or novel novels? If graphic novels, and you're a G1 fan, I recommend the Dreamwave Generation One volumes & the animated movie adaptation. Though, I haven't read any others beyond that...
