The G1 movie score is still one of my favourite movie scores.

I play it when I'm gaming mostly.

The score for the '86 movie was excellent indeed.

The movies have had absolutely fantastic scores. Those scores have made Bayformers seem much more authentic and... almost deeper and more whole than most other high-budget adrenaline summer blockbusters.

Beast Wars had some good scoring, with the rock guitars and dramatic scenes (Megatron on the Ark in The Agenda Part III). But the whole, "duuun-duuuunnnn, duuuunn dunnn!!!" theme, whenever big things like the Vok happened - got a bit old.

Animated also had some good scoring too. Particularly the season three battles of Team Rodimus Vs Team Charr, Substitute Autobots Vs Soundwave, and Prime Vs Megatron.

Hard, hard, hard choice, but Bayformers beats out G1 by just a hair. The orchestrations were simply beautiful, and Arrival to Earth is evidence.

G1 had great stuff too, I particularly loved the Movie's soundtrack.

The G1 movie had some great music but I still prefer Beast wars theme overall.

Speaking of G1 music, I wish that Hasbro would find all the original tracks they used for the G1 series and remaster it into a collector's cd. I'll be the first one in line to get it.

Defintley Cybertron, Sounded like they got a actual orchestra to make the score.

I also love the films scores. Steve Jablonsky does an amazing job.

Bayformers. No contest, in my opinion.

However, I did enjoy the Transformers Animated score quite a bit, too.

The music in G1 was so varied. Orchestral, orchestral-jazz reminiscent of the 60s and the price is right theme, and the funk-techno of season 3-- all of it had so much character. Not to mention the '86 movie.

Second for me is beast wars. When waspy and terrorsaur flew in with an aerial attack and those sizzling electric guitars rang, you just knew shit was going down.

Live action movies without a doubt. G1 season 3 gets an honorable mention.

No-one will ever beat Steve Jablonsky in my TF music tastes. My first Transformers movie OST CD is probably worn out by now.

It's kind of a matter of perspective; if you don't mind the datedness of the stuff from TF:TM, G1 is a very strong contender. Especially considering the rather nice orchestral work in the scoring of the individual episodes of seasons 1 and 2. The instrumentations harkened to an old fashioned western movie, in which everything is crystal clear in terms of character and story.

I voted for the movieverse, mostly because the scores are not dated, and Jablonsky scored some serious points for me with the seldom mentioned Decepticons theme in ROTF right around when the Fallen was announcing their presence. I already found Optimus' and the Autobots' themes iconic and rousing, but he solidified it with the Cons theme in ROTF.

I absolutely love the music from the Movies... both Steve Jablonsky's score and the songs featured throughout the films.

The score from G1 -- including the 1986 movie -- is also good.
