    My ex once referred to me as a "Transformers junkie", but it was more of criticism on my part and not the Transformers fandom as a whole. Of course, this was a coming from a Trekkie who called being one a "way of life".

    I'm cool with Transfan. I think if anyone is dumb enough to confuse that with a tranny fan is probably a tranny fan themselves.

    No "none of the above" option?

    No offense intended, but the day I start calling myself by any cutesy name other than "Transformers collector" or simply "Transformers fan" is the day it's probably time for me to leave the hobby.

    Seriously, I don't see the need for specialized, imposed tribal nicknames for fandoms.

    EDIT: Okay, it only took me five seconds to realize I'm a total hypocrite, as I've described myself as a Trekkie many times. But that one I feel has sorta passed into common usage enough that everyone knows what it is..... maybe? Eh, still.... total hypocrite.
