Hey everyone. Z.U.D.O.N here. Now, I'm not really into Animated figures, but some have captured my attention. I already have Blazing Lockdown, and maybe I'll add another or two just to get a few more Animated TFs.

Now, the problem is in my country TFs are EXPENSIVE. A Deluxe is 55 bucks, Voyager is 110 bucks, and Leader is 200+ bucks (all in Malaysian currency). So definitely I won't be going for Leaders and most likely Voyagers as well. Thus, if I had to choose two, I'd choose the best two of the entire TF Animated line so it won't be a waste of my 55 bucks xD.

May I have suggestions on which Animated figure(s) may be very good and enjoyable? :)

PS: I like bad-ass cool-looking robot modes, preferably like Movie Bumblebee, Movie Sideswipe, and Movie Brawl. Perhaps this can help :)

Swindle. Seriously, this guy is great. Very articulated. Very expressive. Full of personality.

And a couple of Activators. Preferably Optimus and a Starscream clone.

Don't waste your money. If you like the Movie style, Animated will be a huge disappointment.

And once again...as I've said to other posters: If you have to ask, you shouldn't get it.

if you can get it, the 2 pack with Deluxe Prime and Megs is awesome. Then if you can somehow get a Voyager, Voyager Prime with the axe from the Deluxe box set is stunning. Great mold, great weapon.

    Swindle is also really cool
    So is Jazz
I love Voyager Bulkhead, but he's not a fan favorite

But if I could only have gotten one thing, I think I'd have been happiest with the Prime/Megs 2 pack. Nice figures, good transformation, posable, weapons, dvd. It's a nice little set.

I'm sorry, I can't think, my brain is still stunned at $55. for a deluxe figure.

I'd pick out Blur and Jazz as two of the more standout deluxes from the line.

    I'm sorry.

He's clearly seen what the toys look like. So that can't be too much of an issue.

The issue now is functionality. In which Animated toys are, in most circumstances, on par with, or greater than the Movie style.

The only frame of reference I saw was him referring to the Movie style. Movie and Animated are two completely different styles. Sure you or he may like them both, but if the one is what you're into, there is no direct correlation to the other.

Wow, you are straight up delusional. There's no comparison.

If you're limited to Deluxes, I unhesitatingly recommend Blurr and Swindle.

Thanks heaps for the suggestions, everyone :) . Yeah, it sucks to be in a country where toys are expensive.. Even an original plushie could cost 40 bucks @@. But there are good things happening here too, so I'm not too sad about it. :)

The reason why I asked this was because a LOT of the Movie toys couldn't live up to nice designs. Take Ironhide and Ratchet for instance. The toys don't look cool in any way.

Thinking about that issue, Animated figures are superior to Movie figures due to how screen-accurate they are. I can't say that it's better than the Movie figures overall because they look cartoonish, but there are interesting character designs like Blurr and Prowl.

And yes, I do like the show, but I can't really make up my mind which figures I should get due to the cost of TFs here and my low budget. :p

Lastly, I do love both Animated and Movie figures. They're cool in their own ways. :)

No worries. I get that from a lot of members here. :)  It's great that you guys are staying in countries where TFs aren't so expensive. I'm not saying that in an envious way, okay a little. But I'm just stating a compliment. :)

He's a cool figure. The very reason why I got him was because of his height. Surely he would be worth my 55 bucks because he's the size of a Voyager. Haha. :D

    ---------

Again, thanks a lot everyone :)

I like the Movie style best, so that's why I mentioned it. But sometimes I let that slip past my mind - hence why I have Animated Blazing Lockdown.

Thanks for your suggestions :) . Swindle is fine to me, but after I saw Peaugh's review about Blurr, the weak knees made me lose interest in him.. I'm sure you'd understand that if I have to pay 55 bucks for a toy I'd really want him to have the least possible problems.. So that's why.

    But anyhow, that's again :)

These are the two I would most recommend. They are simply the best in the line.

Cool transformations, execellent posability. Blur is super sleek in both modes and has Lockdown style height. I haven't had any problem with the knees. Swindle is short but heavily armed.

If he's talking 55 Ringgit (the currency, correct? :D ), then its $15.64 American which is close enough to our Deluxe prices to not be a total shocker.

If he's talking $55 American (193.43 Ringgit)...god help us all.

I'd suggest for the Deluxes, Animated Blurr. I really like this little guy. Complex enough transformation, bitching cool alt mode, and he is really poseable. Go for him.

Wow. Everyone's up for Blurr. Alright, I'll reconsider my judgment about the knees. Hopefully I can find him, 'cuz the last time I went to Toys R Us, they didn't have it and in the shopping mall it was in, only 1 store had Blurr, and sold it for 10 more bucks >_<

It's 55 Ringgits, so it's not so much of a difference for you guys. :)  But still, it's my local currency, so it's a hefty cost >_<

I'd recommend a Samurai Prowl over BLurr zudon. Since the only other one you have is Blazing Lockdown. Prowl has a unique "running while changeing" transformation with good accesories for play value.

They are also rivals in the show which should play well in your comic.
(you have a great comic.... Big fan.....I just don't comment much)

Samurai Prowl is a great choice. If you want a cool looking robot mode, Animated doesn't get much cooler (and this is coming from someone who can't stand Prowl as a character).

I'd also recommend Oil Slick, as he's a fantastic toy that's a lot of fun to pose.

Blurr, Swindle, Jazz, Sentinel Prime, and Cybertron Mode Optimus would be the other deluxes I'd recommend considering.

You think that's bad, I have to pay $500 for a Deluxe, $800 for a Voyager, $1000 for an Ultra and $2000(!!) for a Leader! Thank god that's not in US dollars though! :D

Now, about your original question, not sure if you've already picked up your figures or not, but I heartily recommend Swoop and Cybertron-mode Prime for the Autobot Deluxes and Soundwave for the Decepticons. Prime pure win, plain and simple and Swoop...oh my Lordie...Swoop is orgasmicky goodness. Soundwave is a short, but awesome figure loaded with character and by far the coolest update of Laserbeak EVER.
