It was available at all US retailers that I know of. I think they ended up releasing it for both the original movie run in 2007 AND the sequel in 2009.
Bet if you looked, probably could even find it yet again this year in new packaging.

I didn't see where you were! But yeah, here in the US, for BIG movies the companies will make secondary items made for the sole purpose of getting parents to buy some extra crap because it had a big name on it.

That, in particular, is a "edutainment"/learning toy (the screen is a cheapest of the cheap LCD screen with some simple spelling and counting games preloaded). These are sold ALL OVER the US in varying forms. The only real attraction with this one is the Transformers branding.

Batman tends to get a lot of these "learning computers" as well.

This is why prime stole faces. He thought that there were little computers behind them. Lol

I picked one of those up from a car boot sale earlier in the year for a couple of quid. It's fun enough for about a minute. But then I am in my mid-thirties and it was obviously not designed with me in mind. :p

I think I saw that once at either Target or ToysRUs. I can't really remember, could be a different Optimus computer.
